Delicious Meal

Last week, my brother had finally been promoted to being a police officer. It was the best time for me because I was there to witness it. It’s been a long time since I haven’t been here in the Philippines; therefore, it is awesome that I was able to take pictures to keep the memories with me.

After the ceremony last week, we went out to eat right away. We went to a barbecue grill restaurant. I had a chicken barbecue and pork barbecue with papaya salad. I also order a grill squid which I missed so much before when I was still in the US of A. Now, I’m going to indulge myself with delicious food!

Well, we had a blast eating our dinner. My sister in law and kids were having fun too. My brother was happy that he was finally, officially promoted. I was so happy about it too. We’re so happy and proud of him.

Smart Investment

When I arrived in Manila, Philippines last week, my sister in law and I stayed at the hotel afterward. We stayed two days and during our stay we also get a daily newspaper. As I look on the newspaper, I found the currency was smaller than it was before. I wish I could able to make a change but knowing that dollar to peso is not working well this time. I guess it is better for me to just enjoy my vacation and not to worry what might be the dollar could get while I stay in the Philippines.

Anyway, when I also look around more inside the newspaper, I also found out that gold is much higher now than silver. I thought it is really a good idea to invest now on gold. The easy way to invest is to buy gold coins. Gold coins are much easier to get these days because it can be bought by bullion. So, if I have money now, I would invest it on gold because I know gold would never decrease its price, therefore, investing money on gold is the smart choice.

1. Do you swim in the winter?
=Well, it depends. If I would swim in the winter inside a swimming pool, maybe I will. But not outside. That would be stupid thing to do. But, I do love to swim no matter what as long as it's not cold and I'm not cold.

2. Do you love or hate winter?
=I love winter because snow is beautiful. I just hate the cold that comes with it.

3. Do you put makeup/actual clothes on when you know you're going to be home all day with just family?
=I do put actual clothes on when I'm with family and a light make up like eye shadow, mascara, and lip gloss.

4. How old were you when you had your first alcoholic beverage?
=Oh, I think I was about 19. I think. It was only a sip though. I haven't really drink it. It was so strong. I was not even able to swallow it even. It upsets my stomach too.

5. How many ill calls in a 12 month period do you think are acceptable?
=Hmmmm....maybe 3 times is enough. More than that would be sickening.

My son loves to play cars. Whatever we went to the store, he would love to look for toys. And when we went to check on toys, he always chooses either cars or trains. Therefore, I thought it might be a good idea to give my son something valuable. And when he’s old enough, he could still enjoy cars by using a revell model cars. Philippine Vacation

After almost 7 years of being here in US, I finally had a chance to travel to the Philippines to visit my family and friends. I was so excited about it, but I’m also worried if I could make it with a baby on board. Yet, despite the worries, I don’t mind knowing that it would be my first vacation since I left Philippines almost 7 years ago. It was exciting therefore I don’t mind what might happen and if my baby girl will be fine the whole time. My trip is tomorrow. I was seemed sad too because I will be leaving the two important people in my life, my husband and my son. I will be in the Philippines for 2 months and a half and that would be a long time to be away from them.

However, I thought being home might happen again but it will be another few years to come. So, now I will make the most of this vacation. Go out with my friends and family. Spend time with them as much as I could. Indulge myself with all these Filipino delicacies I missed eating for almost 7 years. I thank my husband for making this vacation possible.

We are Tricare insurance members whom under Express Scripts health care system that provides us a fast service in regards of getting our prescription as well as to save money. Therefore, we consider about how our insurance meet our needs too in terms of getting our prescription fast and available for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. That’s why I choose Walgreens as our main pharmacy in terms of getting our prescriptions due to their availability. They’re fast and always have affordable, reasonable prices on prescriptions and even on non prescription medication. Therefore, when I heard about the news that Walgreens were no longer on providing prescriptions due to ended contract between Walgreens and Express Script, I was seemed worried thinking of I'm going to do now? I don't want to use their mail order pharmacy; it takes a while for us to get the prescription. It is not a good idea.

However, due to the transition, it definitely affects most of the customers who had been a member of Express scripts and even customers who had been using Walgreens for years that has an insurance that uses express scripts as middlemen. It is definitely a burden for customers. This is what I am going to do now. Cookies are my favorite holiday treat

I guess that most people think of a dish or a casserole when they're asked what kind of food is their favorite kind of holiday food. But for me, my favorite kind of holiday food is definitely holiday cookies! I've always had a thing for Christmas cookies anyway, so I'm glad that as an adult I can control how many get baked in my household. I remember as a kid I would sneak a whole bunch of them and always be asking my mom to fix even more fo them.

I make it a point to actually start baking Christmas cookies the day after Thanksgiving while other people are out shopping the crazy sales. I like to look for new cookie recipes online and while I was doing that one day a few weeks ago, I ran across the website http://hearingaids.miracle-ear.com. Once I looked through it a little bit, I decided to go and get fitted with some of those hearing aids because I suspected that I've needed some of them for a while now anyway.

You really can't beat some classic cookies decorated in colorful icing. You can take the most basic cookies and make them that much better by drawing a holiday design on them.

1. What is the weather like where you are and do you like it?
=The weather here in MI is unpredictable. One day it's cold and the next day, it will be warm. Actually, it was a nicer winter since we don't have that much of the snow and it's been a little bit warmer for these past weeks.

2. When you're sick what do you seek comfort from?
=I always go to sleep to rest when ever I'm sick. Sometimes, I take medicines to feel better, but I only drink water to make me feel better which I did..

3. What do you need to do before the end of the month?
= This month? Well, I'm not sure. I just wanted to to get all things done. Like for our son to go to school soon, to be on a therapy, and be on my much awaited vacation after 7 years! I'm going home!

4. Have you ever served on a jury?
=Nope. I never did. I wish I can. I like to experience it. I wonder what it feels like.

5. If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?
=Maybe, a bird?? Is bird can be a pet? I guess. LOL! A parrot is a good idea because I can able to talk still lol!

Found a Fun in a Box

Last two weeks ago, my family had a blast opening Christmas presents and one of the gifts that my kids love is the Nintendo Wii we got at BestBuy.com. It was awesome since we got it online and it shipped for free. I was so excited for my son to open his Nintendo Wii too. One time, he opened the gift not knowing what’s inside. He was only 5 years old, yet, he knew that he got an awesome game console to play. He has been playing his Leapster Explorer for a year now and I guess it is time for him to experience a real game. Then, of course, that would go with XBOX 360 or PS3 as he gets older. Who knows! The package comes packed with the best-selling New Super Mario Bros.™ Wii game, a Wii Remote Plus™ controller, Nunchuk Accessory, and everything else we need to be up and running in no time. The Nintendo Wii is the most inexpensive of the current generation of gaming consoles that's we bought it. It provides motion sensing controllers and 480p graphics. I heard good reviews with Wii and so my husband and I decided to buy one.

Anyway, when he opened the gift, he wanted to play right away. However, I don’t want to spoil our New Year so I connect the console to our TV, I tried to, but it needs some cords. I was so upset. Now, I have to wait for hubby to come home so we can able to play with it. Well, it was better I guess because then I won’t get addicted to it. And just play Mario the whole time. I love Mario games. And so as my son, he loves Mario Wheels! I bet he’s going to have a blast soon.

Well, we decided to rent games somehow, if we like the game, then we might buy it. But now, I think the better idea is to rent and see if the games are worth keeping. I think I will buy Zumba Fitness too and that’s for sure!

Couple Ornament

Last month, I’ve been looking for an ornament that symbolizes love and marriage for me and for my husband. However, I couldn’t find one and if I saw one that I like, it costs a lot of money too until it came to the point where Christmas approached. I never had a chance to buy an ornament for me and for my husband. I was too sad about it, but maybe next year Christmas I could find one. I only bought two ornaments for my kids though. My son had a monkey sock ornament and my daughter got a snowman with pink scarf with a quote of baby’s first Christmas. It was so cute but I thought me and my husband could have some ornament too because December is our anniversary as well.

So, I thought maybe a wedding ornament or an anniversary ornament would work until I saw this couple ornament from Personal creations. If I will give this ornament to my husband next year, he would surely love it. These are the best in order to find a gift that is sure to please him and me as well especially the mice couple ornament. It was so cute plus you can personalize it. It would be perfect for us! Well, not really though because I don’t really like mice, oh well.

Finally, I found this engagement ornament. It was so cute! I would probably get this one for next year’s Christmas! This is perfect, this will surely please everyone to look up in our Christmas tree!

Blue Christmas with Family

Well, finally the Christmas was over! My kids had so much fun opening their gifts and I was too. Too bad hubby wasn’t here with us due to work, but hopefully soon he will come back home. During these time of year was the hardest for my sisters in law, brother in law and even to my husband because their mom was not with them anymore to celebrate Christmas. Then, so my father in law who is now living in Florida flew back here in Michigan to spend time with his kids. He knew that it would be hard for now to be not having a parent with them. I thought it was so nice of my father in law to do that.

Anyway, last Christmas day, we went to my husband’s aunt to share Christmas dinner with them. She is my mother in law’s one and only sister. It was our first time since my mother in law died. It was fun; my kids had fun too, though my son had some dog allergies, so eventually it turned out to be a nightmare because they have a dog. Then, by Tuesday, we’re supposed to go to a party for my father in law’s side, but we didn’t go this time due to the fact that they have dogs too and my son was allergic to it. So, we stayed home until Wednesday. We went to my sister in law’s house for a family Christmas gathering. We exchanged gifts and it was fun! It was a bust week for me and for all us.

Well, I hope next holiday will be much better because hubby will be with us. We missed him so much.

1. What's the oldest piece of clothing in your closet?
=Well, I still have some of the piece of denim jacket on my closet that I had almost 10 years ago. I bought it a long time ago and even don't remember when. I still have it right now but seldom wearing it. I thought of giving it to my niece.

2. How many random blog readers have you met?
=I never met them some of them yet, but hopefully someday. I think I only met like three of them so far.

3. Do you let your kids stay up till midnight on New Years Eve? (Or, if you don't have kiddos yet, did you get to stay up until midnight as a child?)
=yes, I do let them be awake but if they can't be awake, then they can go to bed. I don't care. But, mostly, though, we're not in our house, so they always stay up late. My parent's let me to be awake until 12 am on New Year's eve.

4. What are the gas prices where you live?
=Maybe about $3.29 per gallon.

5. What is one resolution that you know you should do but are too afraid to try?
=Maybe, going back behind the wheels, but I have to and it is important. I have to do it, though I'm scared to do so....oh well...I have no choice.

1. What's the best Christmas present you've ever received?
=Let me think? Hmmm...maybe my new coat I got from my husband. It's a trench coat, but also can be worn as a winter coat. It has a lining in it and it has hood which I love about it. Since I'm petite, it's hard for me to find a perfect coat with a perfect length, and this one is the best!

2. Worst/Funniest White Elephant gift ever received?
=I haven't received any Elephant gift...lol...

3. Is your Christmas tree plain and simple (white lights and matching ornaments) or is it wild and crazy (colored lights with lots of ornaments collected over the years)?
=It is simple, not so much ornaments in it right now. It has colored lights but it is not as much as what crazy tree would look like.

4. "How" do you iron your clothes? The old fashioned iron/ironing board way, the shower, back in the dryer, etc.
=I iron my clothes as what you supposed to iron clothes using an ironing board of course.

5. How much baking do you do for Christmas and what are your "must make" items? (I'm looking for recipes here, peeps...)
=I never bake food for the holiday. It's too much work! I just go and eat wherever the party is! LOL!

Turn Back Time

I was looking for some quotes online where I found this quote where it says, “I wish I could back in time to when the only drama was losing your favorite toy, the worst pain was a scraped knee, and the only man in your life was your daddy”. I thought about it for a while after thinking about those things I went through when I get older. It was beautiful and precious moments of my life I had with my dad. My father is a loving father. I had great time with him particularly during those times when I helped him feed our farm animals. We have a turkey, pigs, chicken, and ducks.

One time, I remember when I went with my dad to out those duck eggs in an incubator because sometimes ducks aren’t really that passionate about their eggs. So, in order to keep them going and multiply, my dad needs to put the eggs into an incubator until they hatched.

Anyway, when we went to an incubator shop, I saw these lots of incubators and lots of eggs too at different types of animals! I was so surprised and it was indeed a great experience. Then, I also found some newborn chicks and ducklings underneath this warm heat under a bulb and they loved it! I wonder why people love warm weather than cold! It must be comfy and cozy!

Well, I wish I could turn back those precious moments! I guess, I have to start some wonderful moments with my kids then.

1. What is your favorite Christmas decoration in your house?
=Well, our Christmas tree!

2. Do you finish your Christmas shopping early or are you a last minute type?
=Yes, I started shopping as early as November during the Black Friday deals, then I also shop between November last week to first of December. So, now I'm quite all done with all the shopping!

3. When do you turn on your heat?
=The heat is always on 70 Fahrenheit. We just used a heater once in a while to help out our heating bills.

4. Do you ever wish your blog was private?
=Well, not really!

5. Do you put your deodorant on before of after you put on your shirt?
=I always out deodorant after I out on my shirt because if you don't, it left some residue on your shirt once you put them on. Unless you have to be careful to out your shirt on, which I don't sometimes. So, I rather put my shirt on first then put a deodorant.

Swarovski Elements: Bicone Beads

A friend of mine will get married two weeks from now; I’m quite so excited for her. Too bad I can’t able to go to her wedding due to the distance. I wish I could able to do so because I wanted to see her wedding so badly. I already asked bunch of questions about her wedding and as girls we finally talked about her wedding dress. She showed me the picture and I was so surprised of how elegant it was! I love the Swarovski crystal white alabaster bicone beads at her wedding dress too right at the chest area. It was pretty. I wanted to the picture up, but it was too personal. I knew about Swarovski crystal, but I didn’t know they come at different types.

Anyway, I’m not a bead expert but in the middle of our conversation, it reminds me of this website I found online which sell a wide selection of beads at any type and design. Now, I was quite curious about how many beads you can find online through the use of this website.

My Honey Well Heater

Last month, my husband and I were chatting when I mentioned about our little girl still sleeps at her playpen on the living room. Then, he asked me why which I told him that the reason why is that it was still cold in our bed room due to lack of heating. Although, we have a heater up in our bedroom, but it was not working right due to the low heating capability it provides. We have a floor heating system. I wish it was up on the ceiling so the heat will be coming down instead of going up.

Anyway, since it was really cold in our house, we sometimes intend to increase our heat temperature, but that worries me a lot due to the cost it will arise into once we change the temperature. So, I rather buy a heater. So, I went online to get ourselves a new heater which we already talking about to get for these past few months. Holiday is around the corner which I could not believe that time passes by so quickly! I can’t fathom as well that my waiting for my dear husband who was deployed will be over so soon. My trip to my home country is also approaching which I was quite so excited about it too!

Now, I’m gathering all the things I need for the upcoming trip, as well as for my dear husband’s return and also for my son’s 5th birthday soon! I have lots of things going on my mind right now, and I don’t know what to do first, but one thing is for sure, I want a new canon slr cameras for Christmas! My husband and I were thinking of buying a camera, not just a camera, but a SLR camera that featured high quality photo results based on features that only SLR camera has to offer. My sister and brother in law owned a SLR camera and they did take awesome photos! I also noticed that you can buy different types of image processors too. About two weeks ago, I was looking for best deal online on carry-on luggage knowing that my trip to my home country will be so soon. My sister in law came today to pick me up and my kids to go shopping. It was fun and though she told me about her sister who was done shopping for the holiday. She was in shock knowing that how her sister could be able to finish shopping already in one day.

Then, she told me that my sister in law was doing cyber shopping. They basically order everything online and now she only gets only few items in the local store. I wonder why not! Yesterday, I received a music album in a CD format in the mail. It’s a song from the Grammy-nominated songwriter and worship leader Chris Tomlin. The album entitled How Great Is Our God: The Essential Collection which features Tomlin along with the voices of several worship leaders he’s met in his travels with Passion across the globe, singing portions of the song in their own native language. The first time I heard the song, it amazed me! I thought how beautiful the song is being translated to different languages. See, how God’s love is just impossible to everyone. The song is very moving and stunning. You would absolutely love it too.

According to TIME magazine, over 40 million people sing the songs of Chris Tomlin each week- this collection makes it ever-apparent why this is the case which never makes me wonder why because even myself love to hear all of his songs. It actually reminds me of my situation almost 7 years ago. When my husband and I were planning to have a baby after 5 years, we’re decided to get a dog instead. Today is the official snowy day here in Michigan. We finally see some snow flurries which somewhat excites my son to go out soon to play with the snow. However, I told him that it might not be enough for him to play out yet, so he needed to wait a little bit longer until it snows a lot. I hope he will understand because he might need to get some new winter boots too. I didn’t buy him one yet because I still look for some kid’s boots online on sale. But, I found some carhartt sweatshirts for my husband which is so important to wear during winter time. Since my husband and my son always love to play together in the snow. He might need something to wear underneath his coat to keep him warm all the time.

Getting a new iHome Product

A few days ago, I was doing some changes in our living room and where I decided to put my iP11 iHome home audio alarm clock speaker system into our bedroom, so that it is easy for me to charge my phone during night time when I'm ready to go to bed for the night. Also, it is easier because the alarm clock is right on my bedside which is just so easy for me to just set the alarm as well when I needed too.

However, whenever I’m in the living room with my kids during the day, I don’t have anything to put to charge my phone, also I miss listening to my favorite music through Pandora application on my phone. So without hesitation, I asked my husband to buy another iHome product. I saw a lot of new iHome products online and I don’t know which one to get until I asked my husband about buying one. He told me that we need the portable audio alarm clock instead for iPad since we might buy an iPad in the future. I’m not really sure about it, but my husband was looking forward to buy himself an iPad someday.

When it comes to spending time with my family, we always love to watch standup comedy shows. For me it was fun and quite gave me a reason to just laugh life whatever it takes me. My in laws loves to watch it too, one time, we spend the whole night watching standup comedy shows on one get together. That’s how we love it. Therefore, when I saw this Stand Up For Family comedy videos online, it reminds me of some unforgettable moments I had with my own family when Bill Bellamy talked about Still Free. I used to play with my neighbors all the time when were younger. He was right, kids before were very imaginative and creative on some sort of to just enjoy ourselves with things that our parents won’t buy for us. You unlike now, kids can have games, computer, interactive toys, but before life was just so simple.

Anyway, these videos are very good by AmFam which brought by American Family Insurance which I really appreciated. This is a family comedy where everyone can enjoy without some green jokes, you know whom some comedian where sometimes use to make their jokes more interesting and funny. But, I thought this is not always necessary. This is absolutely a comedy that everyone can enjoy. A lot of things where you can able to relate yourself or someone you knew and definitely the importance of family. Family is a treasure which we need to be cherish for the rest of our lives through ups and downs of family life.

Today I was browsing Apple store for some free application for my iPhone and that's where I found this great application for Blogger.

At first I was hesitant to download the application due to the fact that it might be so hard for me to write and update my blogs, but I was wrong, it is so easy to do so. I thought this is so convenient because now I could able to update my blogs at any time I want without the worry of getting into my personal computer just to update all of my blogs. I think this is a good alternative. So glad Blogger decided to make the blogging so easy and conveniently. In fact, I was writing this post using the Blogger application. It was easy and so great! I could even switch blogs to update all of them .

Anyway, from now on, whenever I wasn't able to update my blog using my computer, I'm just going to use my phone instead. So I can update my blogs all the time.

The thing about it is that I still need to update my labels because of the automatic option, unlike on the application, I still need to type them all. I think that's not too much of a work for me. However, the best thing is I could edit my post, view it on Safari web browser and or just delete it. The best way to update my blogs! I don't need to wait now to be on my computer, if I have something in mind to write and share about.

It’s been a month since my husband left for deployment. I was left with two kids to take good care of, a house that needs to have a cleaning routine, and also some bills that need to be paid on time. Last night, I talked to my sister in law about my upcoming trip which I wanted her to not tell anything about it to my family and friends. I don’t know but I wanted to be secret for now, but I can’t help it not to share and talk about it on my blog. Well, in the middle of our conversation, we talked a lot of stuff a well. We talked about nephew and niece and how time went by so quickly that now they’re in high school already. Sooner, they will be in college and it means one thing, I’m getting old already!

Anyway, on our conversation I asked her what my nephew and niece were planning when it comes to going to college. What are the courses they plan to take someday? She told me my niece wanted to be a nurse and my nephew wanted to be an engineer because he’s really smart on numbers and to think about it he’s really bright boy. So, I thought what kind of engineering program that he’s interested in? She told me about a computer software engineering course. I never heard of this course before, but lately, I found a lot of posts related to Software Engineer Jobs online. I thought it might be a good demand now. It is somewhat a course where software development was created and designs some programming.

Well, this is a good choice, I guess. I’m so glad my nephew and niece choose good college programs which secured me for them to have a good future.

What I love about the new iPhone 4S?

It’s been three days now since I got my iPhone 4S in the mail. I got the one in black for 16GB. It feels like I have the phone forever, maybe because I used to have an iPhone 4 before and so I’m kind a used to it already. Some things that are new to me were the Siri. It is software were you can use your voice to send text messages, search your phone, place phone calls, and a lot more. Basically it is something that you can use while on the run, or you’re multi-tasking. I love it because having two kids and chatting with my husband over yahoo messenger was really hard.So, sometimes I talked to my phone and it typed for me. I thought isn’t it awesome or what! Sometimes it can’t understand what I’m trying to say, though, but it is better nothing.

Another thing is the camera which is now 40% more compare to iPhone 4. It has 8 megapixels and 1080p HD video is awesome. I already took a couple of videos and photos and I love it. Particularly,

I could able to download it and stream it using iCloud, so I don’t need to download it, you know USB cord to upload photos to the computer from your phone, that sort of thing. I also love the idea of OS5 it seemed faster than before, too. Good thing about it is that even my husband has an iPhone 4; he can update the OS4 to 5 for free. He seems so excited about it because of the imessage software where you can text unlimited to someone who owns an iPhone3G, 4, 4S, iPod Touch, or iPad.

What else? I think that’s it that I love about iPhone 4S. So far everything was the same as of iPhone 4. I love it too. I think I also love the idea of I can able to use it internationally, but I have to think about using it because I don’t want to have hundreds of dollars more on my phone bills. I think let’s just leave it to something that iPhone has lots to offer. And, I’m enjoying it.

Leasing a Loving Home

About two weeks ago, I received a bad news from a friend of mine. Their house has been foreclosure. It means that they need to move out of the house soon, so the bank can over take and get most of it probably in the selling market. It is sad for me because they had been with the house for more 10 years and she eventually had a lot of memories in it, with her husband and kids. So for the meantime, she had been looking for a house to rent. Good thing they have savings which could help them find a house to rent for now. So, at the meantime, I’ve been looking for homes for lease too, both locally and online. I found some houses in our area but it cost a lot than normally is. So, now she might need to move out of the city for a while.

Well, I will definitely miss her though. If they decided to move out of the state or just move to a farther place where houses for rent is cheaper. I know it is hard to find a house now that is affordable with this bad economy. We’ve been renting too and it is hard because paying a home that you can’t own is just seem useless. However, we need a home to stay and for our kids to have a loving home to be called. I guess, for her and her family, as long as they were together everything will be possible.

=I prefer them in a cone. I don't know, you can really enjoy the ice cream once it is in a cone. I love the waffle flavor cone, too. But, if I wanted to make a banana split, of course, I will consider putting the ice cream into a bowl.

2. What three things do you love the smell of?
=Well, I love the smell of my husband's perfume Acqua Di Gio, I also love the White Citrus lotion smell from Bath and Body Works, and also my perfume of course. It's weird I forgot its name.

3. Giftcards or no? (In regards to gift giving...)
=I love gift cards, it's easy to buy and I think the best gift you can bestow because then they can able to buy what they want specifically. I do love to receive gift cards too.

4. What sports did you play in high school if any and do you still play them?
=I love the badminton and volleyball. When I was in high school, I used to play badminton for school tournament. And, I play volleyball for fun!

5. Were you in band in high school? What instrument did you play?
=Yes, I was a batoner too. I didn't play any instrument. I was just a twirler in a band, unfortunately.

Two days ago, I chatted with my sister through a social network online. It was nice to know that despite her busy schedules, she can still be able to chat with me for a while. Excited about iPhone 4S

Last week, I was so excited to order a new phone for myself since the iPhone I got last February was with my husband right now. I really miss my phone so much; therefore, I can’t wait to get new one for myself for a replacement. I heard about the new iPhone 5 which a lot of spectators thought that would come out this month or so due to iPhone will share the news last October 4th. Meanwhile, I never care about the news, so I ordered myself a new iPhone 4. I got the phone right away since the mobile network we have was having a promo for free overnight shipping. I was so happy when I got in the mail and I can’t wait to use it. Yet, after a day or two, I heard about the new iPhone 4S “Siri”, it was like an iPhone 5, some of the features of the latter was available on iPhone 4S.

Now, I changed my mind. I thought I should’ve waited. I know sometimes being too rush was not good because now I have to return the phone for a refund and then order the new iPhone. I was so devastated. I just returned the phone, yet I haven’t heard from the mobile provider yet due to the high volumes of returns they were processing every day. I should have waited. Good thing, I returned the phone earlier before October 14 which was the date for the new iPhone 4S to get available. Missing college when I watch Community

One of the things that I really love about watching the TV show Community is that it makes me think of all the crazy people that I met while I was in college. The thing about college is that people really let their freak flags fly then and aren't afraid to act weird like they are during other times of their lives.

I read as many early reviews of the new season of community as I could find online with my Clear Wireless Internet Service. I thought that it would be great to see what some of the plotlines would be. The thing with Community is that you can't really predict what's going to happen in an episode like you can with other sitcoms.

Watching all of those different situations really makes me miss all of the weird people that I met in college. But some of those people became my friends and I think that some people probably considered me a weird person when they met me then too. I guess that's just what makes college such a learning experience!

1. What is your go to comfort food or sweet?
=Well, I love parfaits from Wendy's and also the McDonald's fries. Sometimes,if I'm sad or just bored, I rather eat them to just make a difference and to make me feel good.

2. What is the most romantic place you've ever been to?
=I think it was my honeymoon last December 2004. My new husband and I went to a beach resort with blue water and great food.

3. What is your favorite thing about fall/Halloween?
=I love Fall, the weather is perfect. Not too cold or too hot. The changing colors of leaves is lovely too. The apple picking and also the pumpkin carving is fun. Well, I don't really celebrate Halloween, it is just not part of my celebration.

4. How would you spend 24 hours alone?
=I would go shopping I guess. Maybe watch movies or work my blogging assignments online.

5. Does you husband bring you flowers? Are you the bring-me-flowers type of girl?
=Yes, he did once in a while if I remind him. Well, I'm not really a bring-me-flowers type of girl. I'm kind a more on being real that sometimes flowers are expensive. I rather be treated with sweet food or desserts than flowers.

Beautiful Moments of my Kids in a Scrapbook

My late mother in law loves to do paper scrapbooking. She has this patience when it comes to album scrapbooking. One time, she made a scrapbook for her four kids. All of their pictures she cherished when they were little. Then, she gave it to them one Christmas time. It was so special because seeing my husband when he was a little boy was memorable. I can’t wait to share it to our kids as well. I wish my mom kept those pictures of my sibling when we were little and make a scrapbook out of it.

Anyway, I decided to do the same thing with my children. However, I will not do the paper scrapbooking, yet I will make it more modernistic by using a digital scrapbook. A Memorable Passport Day

Why is it memorable? Well, it was definitely a day for me! I will never forget about it. Let’s begin the day; September 17th was the Passport Day here in US which you can apply for U.S passport without making appointments which some of the postal office required before you can apply for a passport. I was so excited about it because then we don’t need to make an appointment to get a passport for our kids.

So, at Friday night, we slept early in order for us to get up early and get the kids ready before 12nn. When we got to the postal office, there are about three people there to apply. We came first so we’re the first ones. If I only knew that Postal office only accepts money order, cash or debit card, I shouldn’t come in knowing that it could be a devastating day for me. We gave our application, they took my kid’s pictures and all set. By the time, I was ready to pay, my debit card won’t work! It was disappointing. I kept on entering my pin, yet it won’t let me.

Until I decided to just go back and re-apply. I tried to withdraw the money, but I totally forgot the pin. I tried to reset it, but it won’t work until next business day. It takes about 24 hours. It was like a nightmare. I was so sad. Thinking now, I need to make an appointment. Well, by Sunday, I decided to withdraw cash just to make sure.

Then, after all of that happened, I felt so stupid in front of the cashier at the post office. It was just so memorable for me because it was unexpected. By Monday, I went to the same postal office to apply my kid’s passport. And it’s all DONE!! Finally! It was just so enduring.

Now, I can’t wait to receive my kid's passports in the next couple of days from now. It means were soon going on a trip! I'm so excited!

=I think it depends on you. If you strive hard to get your dream job someday, then it could possibly be done, but if not, then maybe you still need to work on something. Sometimes it also depend on how in demand your dream job is.

2. Do you fart in front of your significant other?
=Yes, sometimes, I do. I don't know as the years went by, we're getting able to understand the situation because my husband will do the same thing. You know when he farts we just laugh about it or make fun of it! LOL!

3. What's the furthest you've ever traveled from home? How far and where was it?
=I think traveling from the Philippines to the US is the farthest I've been traveled into. It is approximately about 2,000 miles away from my parent's home.

4. How do you celebrate birthday for your kids? Family only or friends? ... Alternate for those without kiddos: How did you celebrate birthdays as a kid?
=I do celebrate the first birthday like a party in a restaurant, or make it unforgettable and savvy. But as the years went by, we just celebrate the consecutive birthdays at home.

5. Fave thing about fall?
=Well, I love the changing colors of trees. The weather which seemed not so cold or so hot. I also love the idea of apple picking with family.

Portable Rocker Rocks!!

Last month, when my daughter was ready to go out with us, I decided to buy her something she could use while visiting a family or a friend. Something that we could carry and very portable for us to place in a car and just simply bring the thing with us. Until I found this Newborn to Toddler Portable Rocker by Fisher Price.

It is a perfect grow-with-baby rocker and seat. My daughter enjoy a low-profile position that is a comfy place to put her for either rocking or sitting still and there are vibrations to soothe too, but I just hate the noise it made though, but overall, it was comfortable and she looks so cute with it.

Now that she has more motor control, a removable toy arm provides two toys to entertain her as well - a cute bug with rattle beads and a lizard with clacker paddles for bat-at play. Since it is a newborn to toddler rocker, by the time she's a toddler the toy arm is removable; the portable baby rocker supports extend to a higher position, allowing her to have both a stationary seat and a rocker which is great alternative that's why I choose this product over other rocker and bouncer.

Addicted with Word Games

It’s been two weeks now that I’ve been playing with my iPhone. Guess what games I was so into these days? You may be right! Well, yes, I’m addicted to playing games using my iPhone such games like Words with Friends, Hanging with Friends and Scrabbles. I was so addicted with “words” lately which was quite helpful though because each and every day, I learned new words. Words that I never thought existed. I even asked my husband to play with me; he uses the computer because you can also download the application of Words with Friends on Facebook while I do my part on my iPhone. It’s crazy, but I love the way I beat him! He beat me about twice I guess and now I’m getting him!

Anyway, I think this is a good thing for kids to play since it is a great way for them to learn how to spell and to learn new words at the same time. Instead of playing war games, planting or building of whatever, you know what I was talking about. I think this is better than boggle too. I just love this game. I could even play games with real people.

Yesterday, I went to pick up my eye contact lens prescription in order for me to buy contacts online instead because as we all know if you buy your contacts online, it is a lot cheaper. Plus, you can also enjoy discounts and free shipping which was way better than buying at my local optical clinic. So, I have to have a copy of my prescription just in case I need it too.

Anyway, when I got my prescription I noticed that they also performed an examination for spectacles which means I could get myself an eyeglasses too. I could possibly do because I have a prescription and this is what I need. Since I found a cheaper eyeglasses online, I was looking forward to get one for myself. I need an eyeglasses too because it seemed like the contacts needs a lot of work. I thought it might be better to have both just in case.

Well, it is better for me because now I could able to buy prescription eyeglasses and contacts for cheap. It means I could able to save money now while enjoying the benefit of seeing things and to be fashionable and stylish at the same time.

=Well, I have to think about it first, hold on...(thinking) I would probably name it Joyful Weeks! It tackles about joy of life...

2. Who is your mentor/inspiration?
=I was inspired by my family, my husband and my kids. They're my inspiration I went back to school, I worked hard as a part time student, and I take good care of their needs. My mentor is God who taught me how to live everyday, be patience with things that comes my way.

3. What is your wake up beverage of choice?
=I would say, caffeinated soda pop or coffee. But, mostly, coffee makes me feel awake unlike pop sometimes I could able to go to sleep without problem.

4. Would you wear your mom's clothes?
=Well, if my mom is not bigger than me. She wore medium and I wore small even extra small clothing. So, I think I can't. Maybe, I will for bed as my sleeping nighties.

5. When you were a kid, did you put posters on your wall? If so, what were they of?
=Ha! I don't want to think about and wonder why, but I have posters from my favorite boy bands, Westlife and Backstreet Boys! LOL! I was in high school and I love boy bands.

Portable DVD Player or Ipod Touch?

As you know, we are planning a vacation to the Philippines to see my family. The other day, I was thinking about how long the flight is going to be, and I wondered what it is going be like for my children. I realized that I will need to bring things for Joshua to do, especially. It’s going to be quite a long ride for a 4 year old. He will need things to keep himself occupied.

One thing I thought of bringing for Joshua is a portable DVD player. He used to have a portable DVD player, but it wasn’t a very good one, and it stopped working after only about a year. I could purchase a better one this time, but the good ones cost around $200. I could probably find a sale price, or shop Amazon for a good one for a low price, but then I had an idea: What about an iPod touch?

I thought of several reasons why an iPod touch would be a better choice. For one thing, I would not need to bring movies with me on disc for him to watch. Most of his movies on disc have scratches on them, and sometimes they skip, or even won’t play past a certain point in the movie without being forwarded to the next scene. How annoying is that! Also, the iPod is smaller, and will take up less space in our luggage. An iPod will cost about the same as a good DVD player, but Josh could also use an iPod to play games, or use its WiFi to watch Thomas and Friends on Youtube. (I believe WiFi is available on the plane.)

To me, the iPod just seems like a better choice. It has more versatility for the same price, and it’s a lot easier to lug onto a plane. And, I’m pretty sure Apple products do not stop working after only a year!

Miss Universe 2011 Pageant: Philippines Got the Third Runner Up

Last September 12th, 2011, my friends and I were so excited to watch the Miss Universe 2011 held at Sao Paulo, Brazil. We were at Facebook during the whole time and shout it out! It was so funny because everybody was watching and of course, everyone knew, but we have to shout it out to the world and for friends to see it. Then, we also tackle about who’s going to be on the top 15 , then top 10, then finally on the top 5 and when Miss Philippines, Shamcey Supsup were among the women who had been on the top 5, were getting so excited until the question and answer portion took place which eventually changes everything. We know that her answer was right. Yet, it wasn’t politically correct. I thought that’s why she never win the crown due to the fact that she was catholic devoted and I think Miss Angola who got the crown has the perfect answer.

Anyway, the whole Miss Universe 2011 pageant was nice. Everyone was beautiful, intelligent, and smart on their own way. However, no matter what happened, we were still proud of what our Miss Philippines got as a third runner up already a pleasure. For over 86 contestants and be among the top 5 is absolutely the best thing ever.

In addition, I found this statement which has since been denied by Oprah's own Website, claimed that Oprah had reservations about the results:

"If the only basis is the Q and A portion, after having been trimmed down to 5, Ms. Philippines deserved to win. What made her different from the rest is that she had no seconds to rethink of her answer as she had no interpreter to break the ice. The rest had their interpreters and having breaks on seconds to think about their answers. Hands down, Ms. Philippines answered straight to the point," the statement said.

Well, I guess, it is true. I wonder why she never got the crown. It might be something wrong or what? What do you think?

As for my opinion, my whole hearted congratulations go out to Miss Shamcey Supsup, though she did not win, but then again you can't win everything in life, however regardless of what all the critics say, I watch the pageant and my opinion for what its worth, you were the most beautiful girl there and should have won, but life is like that.

1. What ringtone do you have on your cell phone?
=My ringtone is the song by Natasha Bedingfield entitled "Pocket of Sunshine". I first heard the song from the movie Easy A since then I fell in love with the song and so I bought it on iTunes and downloaded it. Then, use the ringtone maker to make some ringtone out of it. Awesome! Then, every time my phone rings I can't help not to dance! LOL!

2. What is your favorite memory from this summer?
=Well, maybe getting birth to a beautiful baby girl last July 1st! Also, to celebrate the summer with my two kids and my husband.

3. Paper books or ebooks?
=Both I guess. But if I need to choose, well, I would choose ebooks because it isvery convenient and portable. I could read a lot of books as much as I could.

4. If you could have one home upgrade what would it be and why?
=Well, I want the bathroom to be upgraded. I think to expand it widely because it was too small for a family of four.

5. When was your first serious boyfriend/girlfriend?
=I think it was year 2001 when I met a guy from church. I thought it was serious, but guess not (for him). So, with my second serious relationship where I got married.

Kids Proofing

Living alone with kids at home is what I treasure the most. I choose not to work in order to watch my kids and watch they grow. I even choose to go online for taking classes so that I will also have time to spend to my family. I think I’m a family oriented person. I love my family and if I can, I would protect them as much as I could.

In addition, my husband and I have the same thought, we plan to have a family and we plan that I need to be home to take good care of my family. Whenever my husband goes to work, I always make sure everything is well. However, my husband also ensures that everything in the house is safe and secured particularly those visible wiring we have such as the cords of the computer, the printer, the house appliances, and even the cords that kids can play with such as the lamp’s cord.

Anyway, my son always loves to play in the computer, but sometimes we have to hide the cords just in case his curious mind needs to touch and explore something. Good thing, my husband got this cord cover at the store which he told me that it would protect the kids from whatever it may cause. We also got one for our TV too. I’m glad there’s a product that really helps us to put our kids into safety. Something that is truly valuable at home and one of the best essential on baby proofing!

9/11 Attack Celebrating its 10th Year

My question is: Where were you when the 9/11 (September 11th) attack happened?

I bet like any other rest of the people during those times was driving all the way to their working destination. During that time, I was at home with my family way back in the Philippines. It was about 12 hour difference so when the 9/11 attack took place, it was 9 in the evening in the Philippines. We were in the middle of watching our favorite TV show when the channel network we were at, cut it off to show quick news about the attack. So, my dad changed the channel again and set it on CNN. It was devastating event; I know that a lot of people had stopped doing their work because of what has happened.

On the news, the CNN camera focused on the north tower of the World Trade Center until the second hijacked plane hit the south tower of WTC. We saw it on our naked eye and I was indeed in shock. I bet everyone is. It is unexpected, very alarming as well. A lot of people died.

On this coming September 11, 2011 which is the 10th year anniversary of the 9/11 attack let’s remember and this time be open minded.
As we take time to reflect on the 10th Anniversary of a day none of us will ever forget, let us come together to grieve, to remember, to express our gratitude to those who demonstrated what it is to be a hero, and to pledge ourselves to live in honor of their bravery.

1. Shoes in the house - yay or nay?
=Nay! It is too hard to clean up all the floors because aside from vacuuming you have to mop the floor! I don't think it is a good idea to wear shoes on carpet floors either. So, definitely nay for shoes inside the house.

2. What do you call them- flip flops, slippers, thongs, etc?
=I call them slippers, but one time my husband corrected me and told me it was a flip flops. I thought it was a slipper and still stand on it. LOL! I don't care what other would have to say...

3. What song are you almost embarrassed to admit you know all the lyrics to?
=Let me see, oh now I remember, a song by Joan Osborne entitled "One of Us" LOL! I know it's a weird song, but I knew all about it.

4. What is the best quality to have in a friend?
=Well, to accept you no matter who you are, not do anything that will hurt you or attack you behind your back. Just happy of what you have and always be there for you to listen and give advices to.

5. Do you know what you want for Christmas?
=Well, if I can go home and spend Christmas with my parents whom now living in the Philippines. I've been missing them for almost 7 years now, therefore, if I can able to go back home and visit my family, then that was good enough to be my Christmas gift ever. I couldn't ask for more. It is definitely the best Christmas gift ever!

Traveling Abroad With Young Children

I am so excited! Very soon, I will be flying to the Philippines to visit my family. I can’t wait! However, I am a little concerned about the trip, as well. For one thing, my husband will not be accompanying me there, as he has obligations elsewhere. In fact, the primary reason for this particular trip home to the PI is because he will be out of town for a while, and I don’t want to stay home by myself with our two children. It would just be too difficult, since I don’t drive. I could try to rely on my sister-in-law to take me where I need to go while my husband is away, since she lives so close to us, but she has a busy enough life with four kids of her own. She doesn’t really need the extra responsibility of carting me and my children here and there. I figured it would be easier just to go see my family. Of course, the fact that my husband cannot come with me will make traveling there a little difficult. I will be doing all the packing myself, making arrangements to get to the airport myself, and making my way through the airport myself. All the while, I will have our two small children with me.

Our son, Josh, is four, and very energetic. He’s never been in an airport before, or on a plane, not to mention on a plane for 15 hours. I can only imagine what his behavior will be like. Our daughter, Joella, is a newborn, and requires almost constant attention. How will I manage two children, plus carry-on luggage, by myself in a busy airport and on a plane for that many hours?

Well, here’s my plan:

1.) minimal carry-on luggage. I plan to carry one bag, and only one. It will be stuffed with all we need, such as diapers and formula, and a portable DVD player and video games, coloring books and crayons – all I need to keep Josh nice and busy. I figure Joella will basically just eat and sleep, but I will need a couple changes of clothing for her (and me) in case of messy accidents.

2.) a harness for Josh. You’ve seen them: a cute backpack for the child on one end, a wristband for you on the other end, and connecting the two is a rope. Basically, it’s a leash for your kid. It’s perfect to keep Josh close by and under control throughout our travel, while giving Joella the extra attention she needs, and maybe I will get a baby carrier to carry my daughter with me while pulling the luggage.

Anyway, I wish it would be easier but I’m expecting it to be not, but I’m crossing my finger. I hope it will be a faster trips though, no delays on planes end. I just can’t wait. I’m quite excited about it too.

Lifelong Learning

What’s something you recently learned how to do on a computer? =Well, I knew a lot about how the computer works recently, though I haven't gone to any things yet. However, I learned that sometimes you can't live the computer on for a long period of time since it will create something you don't want to happen to your computer. For some reason, my laptop were trying to reset itself and kept on saying that I don't have a hard drive. It was devastating until my husband tried to pull out the battery and put it back on. Good thing it works again.

What’s something you recently learned in the kitchen? =I learned that putting a rusty cooking pan on the sink can leave stain on the kitchen sink. Now, our kitchen sink got stains on them. I also learned that letting a cheese to get hard on the kicthen sink can take a lot of work since it will harden and it is hard to get it off.

What’s something you recently learned about the town where you live? =I learned that most of my mother in law's family particularly her siblings lived in the area. I didn't know most of them only live about a few miles, but so surprising that they haven't gone to have a get together for once in a while. It was weird. Sometimes, American culture doesn't valued the concept of what family really is.

What’s something you recently learned from television? =Well, I learned that sometimes watching too much television can be tiring and it is not good for children as well. Some of the movies now doesn't omit bad words anymore. My son had been learning some of it which I find so disturbing. Not a good thing...

What’s something you recently learned the hard way? =Well, going to school while being alone with two small kids is hard to deal with. Plus, when I have a job online too. So, I guess, I have to hang for a while out of school and prioritize my kids instead.

On Just Beautiful this week....

It's been a while that I haven't doing any blog posts lately due to the fact that I have two kids to take good care of, while hubby went to work for almost everyday. 1. Did you make any fun purchases this week?
=Fun purchases? Well, yesterday I bought a pacifier for my little girl, I wasn't so fan of binkies, but sometimes I have no choice. I have to get it in order to put myself away from stress and tiredness. So, I went to Babies 'R Us and I saw a lot of pacifier, speaking of different types of nipples. Then, there's a pacifier clips and keeper. I don't know what to get, though I had fun choosing what's better for my little one. After almost an hour, I finally made a purchase.

2. If you could go to any musical concert, what would it be?
=Musical concert? I never been to one, so I guess I would love to see Mamma Mia play and Menopause. I haven't seen those shows yet, but I heard good reviews about them.

3. What is your least fav/ most fav house chore?
=My least favorite chores are cleaning bathrooms and bath tubs, vacuuming the floor, mopping the floor, cleaning the kitchen stove and sink. My favorite is doing laundry, loading dirty dishes to the dishwasher, and change bed sheets.

4. Would you prefer new appliances or clothes?
=Well, it depends, if we really need a new appliances then I think it is worthy compare to clothing. You can buy clothes at any time. It depends on which one we need.

5. Miracle Whip or Mayo?
=Both. But, I prefer miracle whip I admit. Miracle whip mostly used for making something like a salad or something, but Mayo was good to put on a sandwich, isn't it?

Losing Post Pregnancy Weight

About a month ago, I was definitely striving hard to recover from my labor plus having a newborn seemed hard to deal with especially during those times that I’m the only one taking good care of her needs. Moreover, with lack of sleep and having two kids quite hard to compromise, I wish my mother was here to help me out.

Well, to change the topic, after a couple of days and weeks, I started to get back on my feet. Good thing my husband doesn’t have work yet due to school hasn’t started yet. So, now I’m trying and looking forward for my daughter to grow up so I can able to get things done as well particularly on going back to getting fit again. Since I stopped breastfeeding already, I was looking forward to get some fat burners this time to help me out burning some extra weight I gained from the pregnancy.

Meanwhile, I think I’m going to lose weight now from having lack of sleep and also I can’t eat right on time due to meeting my kid’s needs first. Oh well, I wish I could survive.

Nice and Easy

Last two days ago, I was just getting too tired with my hair’s color or let’s say my highlights since it needs to be re-colored again since some of the colors were all way down and I got some new hair grew again. So, I need to contact my sister in law again for her to do my hair. But before my appointment, I have to do something about it. So here I am gone to the store to buy myself a hair color. I never done hair coloring on my hair before, but this is my first time to do it by myself. I tried hard in order to get a hair color I wanted to be. I got the Nice and Easy foam hair coloring system at the store for $9.99; I didn’t know they were cheaper than I thought.

Anyway, I did my hair last night and looking forward to get a red dark brown color, but unfortunately, it didn’t work out. I have a black hair and instead of giving me a red dark brown color, it gives me my own hair color back instead. However, it tones my highlights though that needs to be work at which I find nicer now. Yet still, I need some new high lights again before my plan trip soon. I’m crossing my finger here.

A Hairdresser's Work

About a week ago, my sister in law came over to get our hair done and after she did our hair, she stayed for a while and shared her days at work. She seemed so stressed out with the new Retail POS System that they have at work due the fact that it added more work on their part. She worked at a hair salon and though she wasn’t really complaining about the new POS system, but she was not so used to it. Since it added more time and work for the employees, it can make the customers delayed for their appointment as well. It can be a good thing if their salon has a customer representative to do all the input and output work.

Now, she was so mad and not really like the idea of having a new POS system. I think she’s right though. If their manager only works for them as well, not just to sit down and do nothing, you know as she shared something about her manager. So, I thought.

Well, I hope she will get used to it and feel better. I felt so bad about it though. If only they got the POS system I found online which already includes receipt printer, barcode scanner, magnetic stripe reader, and cash drawer then all of their work will be so easy.

A couple of days ago, I went to my postpartum appointment and so glad to know that my cesarean section was healing well according to my OB. Then, she also checked if my cervix was back to its normal size and to see if I wanted to take some birth control which I never doubted, so she prescribed me a birth control pills. In need of an Undermount Sink

A couple for days ago, my husband and his sibling went to their late mother’s house to gather some things and to see which stuff they could get before they can able to sell the house to pay debts. Some of them wanted each own things and seemed there’s some agreement already. We decided to take the two sets of side tables for our basement and living room and my sisters in law were decided to take the bedroom furniture and a bathroom faucet. I wonder why my other sister in law wanted the faucet, I remember it was a nice, sassy faucet that you never seen at some houses. 1. Do you close the bathroom door when you are home alone?
=No. Unfortunately, I don't close the door of the bathroom whenever I'm there, though. For some reason, I wanted to know what's going on outside especially if I have two small kids.

2. You have to walk around with a word on your forehead. That word describes you. One word. What is it?
=Joy! LOL! It means one thing, my nickname is Joy, I'm the joy of my family, my husband, and my kids. My mom and dad...my friends and sibling...

3. What store do you refuse to shop at and why?
=Well, some stores that are being shop by well I just wanted to keep it by myself to avoid any misunderstanding...

4. If you participated in arranged marriages for your child(ren), who would you choose for your child(ren)?
=Well, I don't really agree with arrange marriage, I rather just let my kids choose whoever they wanted to marry, however, if I need to, I would choose someone that they will give them good life and someone that will love them for the rest of their lives unconditionally.

5. If you could pick how and when you would die, would you?
=Yes, I wish I would die old and maybe about 100 years old. I wanted to see my grand kids and my great grand kids too.

Saving Money on Batteries

My son had been addicted to trains lately and some of his trains were run by batteries. I think we bought batteries every month due to the fact that most of my son’s toys use batteries. Until I came to the idea of just buying rechargeable aa batteries that whenever his toys were run out of batteries, I just charge them and then re-use again. I think this way we can able to save money on batteries. As a matter of fact, I bought a rechargeable batteries and charger which lasted for almost a year, it really helped me a lot especially saving money.

Since rechargeable batteries are really useful, I recommend it to use on cameras as well. I got one for our cameras too. I wish they have rechargeable C or D batteries available too so that I can just charge my baby’s bouncer and swing. I think it will became available sometime soon.

Recovering C-Section and Healing

After my emergency surgery, the nurses in the hospital where I stayed at for four days really helped me a lot knowing that they already helped hundreds of patients who underwent cesarean section. At first it was really hard, painful, yet they forced me to stand up and walk. Taking a walk during healing really helped me a lot. They told me to take a shower, take a walk even for a few minutes, and make sure to drink my medicines. Believe it or not getting up as soon as I can and moving around really helped me to recover quickly. Although, I was shaking due to my body is in tolerated with pain, I always have to make sure I moved and walked around. For the first two weeks were hard for me. I was breastfeeding my daughter while trying to take good care of my vertical incision.

Anyway, after 4 weeks, I noticed my incision was healing well. I thanked God for helping me out with this. Though, itchiness drives me crazy, however, I still managed it. I put unscented lotion to make the itchiness gone for a while. Some said it is healing, but I thought itchiness also associated with dryness. So, I have to put lotion on until I have my postpartum appointment on Monday, August 15th. I can’t wait to ask my OB what to do to relieve itchiness.

Well, now I’m still recovering with having an incision, but with the idea of having a surgery can change me a lot. As of now, I can’t wear my jeans or shorts yet that is tight. I always wear dresses, skirts, or leggings. It’s hard but I’m working on it.

Paying too much on bills can be overwhelming, therefore, my husband and I planned to make most of our money. We have medical and dental health insurances for us and for our two kids and make sure we got what we have paid for. We get rid of some monthly expenses that we thought are not really necessary, and it is helping us a lot, especially now that we have a new bundle of joy which means we need to save money too. Aside from having medical and dental insurances, it is hard for me to get eye insurance due to the cost. Plus, eyeglasses and contact lenses nowadays are quite expensive. So, I need something that helped me out with my optical examination. I found an optical eye examination doctor that offered eye exam for cheap, yet the selection of prescription eyeglasses and contact lenses are quite are the ones costs a lot.

Now, I have to find something else and good thing I heard about Clark Howard has to say about how to save money wisely. He is a money expert and a nationally syndicated consumer advocate who advises consumers how to save more, spend less and avoid getting ripped off. I think he is right. You work hard on your money and make sure to spend it effectively. I’m so glad that I could able to get an affordable prescription eyeglasses which means I could save money even more!

Emergency (Vertical) Cesarean Section

On July 1st, I had an emergency cesarean section due to prolapse of umbilical cord. I don't want to have a c-section, but knowing that my baby wasn't doing good inside my tummy, I had to make a sudden decision. It scares me, it was horrible inside the emergency room where all the nurses and doctors were in a hurry to just put me to sleep in order to cut me open, as in really fast. I don't know about any c-section until my OB told me that she will cut me vertically. I wonder why, but at that time, it was fast. I think I have to ask my questions once my baby was out and fine.

After the surgery, I was in a lot of pain. I had a vertical c-section or known as classical c-section. C-section or cesarean section was performed due to risk for complications to avoid dangerous delivery-room situations and can save the life of the mother and/or baby when emergencies occur. It was my first c-section because I have a vaginal delivery with my son. After the surgery, I thought to myself, I'm not going to have another baby anymore. It is enough for me now to have one each, a boy and a girl.

In addition, having a C-section may — or may not — affect future pregnancies and deliveries. If a woman had a vertical c-section which I had and when I get pregnant again, it is not recommended for me to have a vaginal delivery due to a membrane rupture so it means I will have a c-section again which I'm not fond of. So, I guess I'm done with two!

Now, I'm doing good. My incision was healing and I guess already healed. I'm getting back to normal and looking forward to get back on my daily routine again. I thank God for my fast recovery.

Ready for School?

A while ago, my sister in law came over to give us our haircuts. Well, my husband and I had our haircut, finally but not our son, he’s not cooperating this time so I thought maybe it’s better for him to get a haircut next time. I thought he needs a new haircut now because soon will be his first day of school. I’m kind of excited about him going to school, yet I’m nervous. I’m truly going to miss my little boy a lot. I know he’s not little anymore, but he was still my baby boy.

Anyway, since there’s only two weeks left for us to enjoy our family time all together, I also spend more time with my son. I know he’s not going to spend most of his time now with me. He was seemed so excited about it, so now I’m looking for some school supplies for him. A new back pack, notebooks, some pencils, crayons and a lot more! Thank goodness, I found some Savings.com deals online which will help me to save some money on clothing too. I know my boy will need a lot of clothes for being at school three times a week! I’m going to miss him a lot!

Prolapse of Umbilical Cord Issues

Last July 1st was the day my daughter was born. It's been almost 12 hours of waiting until something unexpected happened. At around 10 pm, my nurse checked me and my baby's heartbeat to see how we progress. It wasn't nice at all. My baby's fetal heartbeat keeps on moving around until it stopped. So, the nurse was skeptic and called my OB to come to check me out. By the time, my OB came, she noticed something unusual and not supposed to be. She can feel my baby's umbilical cord coming out first to the baby which means prolapse of umbilical cord.

Prolapse of Umbilical Cord is a complication that occurs prior to or during delivery of the baby. In a prolapse, the umbilical cord drops (prolapses) through the open cervix into the vagina ahead of the baby. The cord can then become trapped against the baby’s body during delivery. Umbilical cord prolapse occurs in approximately one in every 300 births which I think I'm so unfortunate that I'm one of those 300 births.

Anyway, prior to my labor, my OB ruptured my amniotic membrane to speed up labor since I'm about 41 weeks already and never had any contractions at all. So, my OB ruptured it until after two days, my water broke. Since then, it has been like that until I went to the hospital.

There are three reasons that I guess the reason why I had an emergency cesarean section:

My baby might have an unusual long umbilical cord
I might have too much amniotic fluid in the membranes
Maybe, rupturing the membranes to induce or speed up labor early is not a good idea.

Whatever it might be, I'm so glad we're (me and my baby) both safe and fine. My baby is getting too big as well and she's doing good. I'm so glad she's safe now. I thank God everyday for her.

rv travel emergency

A friend of mine recently bought an RV which they got for a second hand. It wasn’t that expensive because they bought it from a friend of her husband as well. She showed some photos of their RV and it was still in good condition.

The RV has a small bedroom, a bathroom, and a small kitchen, perfect for any road trip they might have in the future. She even invited me to come with them the next time they will go to Chicago. I was seemed so excited about it but sometimes it scares me knowing that what if their second hand RV will break down in the middle of nowhere? It might be safer and I will feel secure, if they have a rv travel emergency insurance that will help us when RV breaks down.

Well, to make me feel secure and no worries, it is better for me to ask her about if their RV has insurance. You know it is better to just ask than to be sorry.

=Yes, I do! I have an oldest sister and brother. I'm closer to both of them. I'm the youngest and I think having only the three of us, can brought us more closer.

2. Would you rather be slightly UNDER weight or slightly OVER weight?
=I would rather be under weight than over weight because it is easier to gain weight than losing it.

3. What's your favorite State Fair food to splurge on?
=I love corn dogs and pop! Maybe some fries too!

4. What are your thoughts on your kid(s) going to school in a few weeks?
=Well, excited about it, but I'm surely going to miss him a lot!

5. Pool or Ocean?
=I would go with the ocean! It's more open which means germs can go along farther than a pool. But, a pool has a chlorine that kills germs but it is not really an assurance, I think I still go with the ocean.

Head Support for Infant

Every time we go out with my family, I got worried what my newborn was doing behind the wheel knowing that sometimes when a newborn was on the car seat, there's a tendency for their head to be slumming on a harness which I bet hurts their neck. There aren’t a lot of things I like about the country, to be honest with you. My husband loves it all though so we’ve got this huge lake house which sounds a lot more glamorous than it actually is. I wish there was a nice way to tell him I’d rather him come up here by himself than to bring me with him but it would just break his heart and there’s nothing really all that bad that I can’t put up with it for a weekend at a time. Pack and Play

A few days ago, my husband was so sweet that he bought me a pack and play yard for our daughter knowing that I couldn’t able to go up and down at the stairs due to my cesarean section surgery. Since our crib was in our room, we needed something at the living room and that’s where my husband decided to get me a playard. When he came home from doing errands, he brought it with him, good thing I have 20% off coupon which we saved money too. This is what all I wanted to save money as much as possible.

He went to Babies R Us for this cute Graco Pack 'n Play Playard in Dempsey design. For $139, we only paid $111 for it. It features built-in shelves keep baby clothes, sheets and other late night necessities close at hand where I don't need to go up stairs and down. It also easily converts to a portable playard, helping me to keep my little on comfortable and cozy or if she doesn't want to be on her swing. It also has an electronics module with 5 classical songs, 5 soothing nature sounds, look light and an auto shut-off timer which I find cute, though I wish they have more features. The best thing about it is that it has a changing table for time-saving convenience so I don't have to run to the changing table at her room for diaper changes that would be a lot of work for me. It has a removable, full-size bassinet too that provides the perfect spot for my baby to catch a nap, at home and away. It has a quilted bumpers provide a cozy haven, a quilted mattress pad provides a comfortable nap space for my little one's sweet dreams and a lot more.

It dips down where there is no support once baby is in it which sometimes makes my daughter leaning on the other side and the mobile is not mechanical, meaning it doesn't spin until you manually spin it. Overall, it's a nice pack and play aside from those two things.

It’s officially summer time here in Michigan and a lot of people are basically enjoying every minute of it. Some of them are having fun going to the park, playground, Water Park, beaches, and even some are excited to host a sporting event especially at churches. The churches that we used to go to once open a golfing and baseball event for boys with their fathers and it was fun because everybody can play a part and just enjoy it while looking forward to winning the best prize of gift cards plus sport trophies that they could get once they champ all the sports. 1. If you knew your best friend's spouse was cheating on her or him, would you tell her (him)?
=Sure, but I will make sure I have evidence. Words coming from my mouth wasn't enough for her to believe me, so I have to make sure, I have photos or something that would make my story true. It is hard to ruin a marriage, but it is helpful for me to tell her or him the truth if his or her spouse was cheating on her/him. I think this is the best part.

2. Soda in a can or a bottle?
= I prefer in a can for some reason the taste of the pop from the can is much better than the one in the bottle. Do you agree?

3. What do you wash first, hair or body?
=I wash my hair first then my body.

4. What advice would you give to any new mama?
=Well, I would say just enjoy being a new mama, enjoy your new baby as much as possible. It is hard at first, but if you get used to it, enjoy every minute of it, it's all worth it. I'm a new mama again for the second time around and I honestly so tired of it, but every time I saw my precious baby girl, everything vanished. She's worthy of any sleepless nights I had...:)))

5. What is your best hangover remedy?
=Well, I don't know because I never got any hangover yet, but as I heard, coffee is the best remedy. I don't know if it's true, but maybe...that's what my mom used to gave to my dad...

Halloween Costumes for Everybody

This year a lot of my girlfriends are going to a Halloween costume party again. I wonder what my friends are going to be wearing this time. Last year, I wore a nurse costume and there are two of us over there wearing the same costumes which I didn’t mind at all. However, I was thinking of what to get this year for a costume. I was thinking of being a bee this time, but I wasn’t so sure about the costume I found online, I was having a second thought because it was too revealing. I think I could be a fairy or an angel again like I did two years ago. Well, I don’t want to wear the same costume again though, so I went online and look for more costume I could find online.

Anyway, I found several costumes I like and consider to wear like maybe to be Lady Gaga look alike? Or to be one of the roman goddesses because I love the costumes, it looks so sexy and appealing. I also like to be a pirate lady. I don’t know but guess what, I also found some Plus size costume for Halloween at this website too. It is absolutely great for some of my friends, maybe they can check Halloween Adventure.com website for all their costume needs. We still have more time to shop online because Halloween is not here yet until October and the party maybe be around between October and November. So, I thought maybe I could get some children costumes too for my kids. This is going to be fun! Oh, how I love those infant costumes! They're so stinking cute!
