Good Hair, Guaranteed

>>  Saturday, January 5, 2013

I’m not a cosmetologist or even expert on hair and beauty stuff, but learning about it is what I really looking forward to right now. When I came here in US almost 8 years ago, the first thing that I have to learn to do is on how to straighten my hair using a flat iron on my own. At first, I was hesitant to do it and never had any idea either of how to do it, but I was really consistent and wanting to do it. So, I keep doing it and got burned a couple times until I finally was able to get used to it. And, eventually I could straighten up my hair now without burning myself.

Then, it progresses to curling flat iron which I don’t have any idea of how to use it or what are the techniques of curling hair effectively. I asked my sister in law who is a hairstylist and cosmetologist. She told me about the techniques and looking forward to do it sometime soon. Then, I also wanting to use a hair dryer to dry my hair perfectly since I always ended up having a frizzy hair once I’m done drying my hair. It is so meticulous to do it that I just found out that there’s actually way to get a nice, good hair. As the weather gets cold, and I just had my shower, and in a hurry, I always have to bow dry my hair to avoid getting sick. But then, I just stop doing it because of it creates frizz to my hair.

So, the technique is instead of blowing the hair dryer back and forth in an attempt to speed styling, rather, move the dryer up and down the length of the strands in quick, steady strokes for a flawless finish instead of frizz. Before doing the hair drying, you can use an anti-frizz serum while the hair is still damp for polishing and smooth effect. Oh, if I only knew that’s how you supposed to blow dry hair, then maybe I will not suffer a hair flying in a different directions, creating frizz.

This is something to keep in mind; I will definitely do it next time…
