Just Beautiful: An Aircraft

On Just Beautiful this week....

It's been a while that I haven't doing any blog posts lately due to the fact that I have two kids to take good care of, while hubby went to work for almost everyday. So, I was left alone and have to take good care of things before my blog which is sometimes sad because I missed a lot of things and opportunities as well.

By the way, this week I wanted to share some of the photos I took last weekend when we went to an Air Show. The air show was all about men stuff, but I was there to see some of the US aircraft that I only had seen on TV or movies. It is a very interesting show as a matter of fact, you will see a lot of things too of how big and what it is look like to be in front of an aircraft that was used for wars/combat.

1. Did you make any fun purchases this week?
=Fun purchases? Well, yesterday I bought a pacifier for my little girl, I wasn't so fan of binkies, but sometimes I have no choice. I have to get it in order to put myself away from stress and tiredness. So, I went to Babies 'R Us and I saw a lot of pacifier, speaking of different types of nipples. Then, there's a pacifier clips and keeper. I don't know what to get, though I had fun choosing what's better for my little one. After almost an hour, I finally made a purchase.

2. If you could go to any musical concert, what would it be?
=Musical concert? I never been to one, so I guess I would love to see Mamma Mia play and Menopause. I haven't seen those shows yet, but I heard good reviews about them.

3. What is your least fav/ most fav house chore?
=My least favorite chores are cleaning bathrooms and bath tubs, vacuuming the floor, mopping the floor, cleaning the kitchen stove and sink. My favorite is doing laundry, loading dirty dishes to the dishwasher, and change bed sheets.

4. Would you prefer new appliances or clothes?
=Well, it depends, if we really need a new appliances then I think it is worthy compare to clothing. You can buy clothes at any time. It depends on which one we need.

5. Miracle Whip or Mayo?
=Both. But, I prefer miracle whip I admit. Miracle whip mostly used for making something like a salad or something, but Mayo was good to put on a sandwich, isn't it?

Losing Post Pregnancy Weight

About a month ago, I was definitely striving hard to recover from my labor plus having a newborn seemed hard to deal with especially during those times that I’m the only one taking good care of her needs. Moreover, with lack of sleep and having two kids quite hard to compromise, I wish my mother was here to help me out.

Well, to change the topic, after a couple of days and weeks, I started to get back on my feet. Good thing my husband doesn’t have work yet due to school hasn’t started yet. So, now I’m trying and looking forward for my daughter to grow up so I can able to get things done as well particularly on going back to getting fit again. Since I stopped breastfeeding already, I was looking forward to get some fat burners this time to help me out burning some extra weight I gained from the pregnancy.

Meanwhile, I think I’m going to lose weight now from having lack of sleep and also I can’t eat right on time due to meeting my kid’s needs first. Oh well, I wish I could survive.

Nice and Easy

Last two days ago, I was just getting too tired with my hair’s color or let’s say my highlights since it needs to be re-colored again since some of the colors were all way down and I got some new hair grew again. So, I need to contact my sister in law again for her to do my hair. But before my appointment, I have to do something about it. So here I am gone to the store to buy myself a hair color. I never done hair coloring on my hair before, but this is my first time to do it by myself. I tried hard in order to get a hair color I wanted to be. I got the Nice and Easy foam hair coloring system at the store for $9.99; I didn’t know they were cheaper than I thought.

Anyway, I did my hair last night and looking forward to get a red dark brown color, but unfortunately, it didn’t work out. I have a black hair and instead of giving me a red dark brown color, it gives me my own hair color back instead. However, it tones my highlights though that needs to be work at which I find nicer now. Yet still, I need some new high lights again before my plan trip soon. I’m crossing my finger here.


Well, now I’m just going to wait for 8 weeks until my own hair color turns back, I mean no chemicals on it before my next hair work. I’m quite excited about it too.

A Hairdresser's Work

About a week ago, my sister in law came over to get our hair done and after she did our hair, she stayed for a while and shared her days at work. She seemed so stressed out with the new Retail POS System that they have at work due the fact that it added more work on their part. She worked at a hair salon and though she wasn’t really complaining about the new POS system, but she was not so used to it. Since it added more time and work for the employees, it can make the customers delayed for their appointment as well. It can be a good thing if their salon has a customer representative to do all the input and output work.

Now, she was so mad and not really like the idea of having a new POS system. I think she’s right though. If their manager only works for them as well, not just to sit down and do nothing, you know as she shared something about her manager. So, I thought.

Well, I hope she will get used to it and feel better. I felt so bad about it though. If only they got the POS system I found online which already includes receipt printer, barcode scanner, magnetic stripe reader, and cash drawer then all of their work will be so easy.

Little Miracle

A couple of days ago, I went to my postpartum appointment and so glad to know that my cesarean section was healing well according to my OB. Then, she also checked if my cervix was back to its normal size and to see if I wanted to take some birth control which I never doubted, so she prescribed me a birth control pills. In need of an Undermount Sink

A couple for days ago, my husband and his sibling went to their late mother’s house to gather some things and to see which stuff they could get before they can able to sell the house to pay debts. Some of them wanted each own things and seemed there’s some agreement already. We decided to take the two sets of side tables for our basement and living room and my sisters in law were decided to take the bedroom furniture and a bathroom faucet. I wonder why my other sister in law wanted the faucet, I remember it was a nice, sassy faucet that you never seen at some houses. She really like it and so I thought she might need a new thing Undermount Sink now to match the sophisticated look faucet in chrome color.

Well, I thought if she needs a new faucet, she might need to check out some of these Undermount Sinks I found online. She would definitely love to get a new bathroom sink t match the faucet. I bet she would!!!

1. Do you close the bathroom door when you are home alone?
=No. Unfortunately, I don't close the door of the bathroom whenever I'm there, though. For some reason, I wanted to know what's going on outside especially if I have two small kids.

2. You have to walk around with a word on your forehead. That word describes you. One word. What is it?
=Joy! LOL! It means one thing, my nickname is Joy, I'm the joy of my family, my husband, and my kids. My mom and dad...my friends and sibling...

3. What store do you refuse to shop at and why?
=Well, some stores that are being shop by well I just wanted to keep it by myself to avoid any misunderstanding...

4. If you participated in arranged marriages for your child(ren), who would you choose for your child(ren)?
=Well, I don't really agree with arrange marriage, I rather just let my kids choose whoever they wanted to marry, however, if I need to, I would choose someone that they will give them good life and someone that will love them for the rest of their lives unconditionally.

5. If you could pick how and when you would die, would you?
=Yes, I wish I would die old and maybe about 100 years old. I wanted to see my grand kids and my great grand kids too.

Saving Money on Batteries

My son had been addicted to trains lately and some of his trains were run by batteries. I think we bought batteries every month due to the fact that most of my son’s toys use batteries. Until I came to the idea of just buying rechargeable aa batteries that whenever his toys were run out of batteries, I just charge them and then re-use again. I think this way we can able to save money on batteries. As a matter of fact, I bought a rechargeable batteries and charger which lasted for almost a year, it really helped me a lot especially saving money.

Since rechargeable batteries are really useful, I recommend it to use on cameras as well. I got one for our cameras too. I wish they have rechargeable C or D batteries available too so that I can just charge my baby’s bouncer and swing. I think it will became available sometime soon.

Recovering C-Section and Healing

After my emergency surgery, the nurses in the hospital where I stayed at for four days really helped me a lot knowing that they already helped hundreds of patients who underwent cesarean section. At first it was really hard, painful, yet they forced me to stand up and walk. Taking a walk during healing really helped me a lot. They told me to take a shower, take a walk even for a few minutes, and make sure to drink my medicines. Believe it or not getting up as soon as I can and moving around really helped me to recover quickly. Although, I was shaking due to my body is in tolerated with pain, I always have to make sure I moved and walked around. For the first two weeks were hard for me. I was breastfeeding my daughter while trying to take good care of my vertical incision.

Anyway, after 4 weeks, I noticed my incision was healing well. I thanked God for helping me out with this. Though, itchiness drives me crazy, however, I still managed it. I put unscented lotion to make the itchiness gone for a while. Some said it is healing, but I thought itchiness also associated with dryness. So, I have to put lotion on until I have my postpartum appointment on Monday, August 15th. I can’t wait to ask my OB what to do to relieve itchiness.

Well, now I’m still recovering with having an incision, but with the idea of having a surgery can change me a lot. As of now, I can’t wear my jeans or shorts yet that is tight. I always wear dresses, skirts, or leggings. It’s hard but I’m working on it.

Paying too much on bills can be overwhelming, therefore, my husband and I planned to make most of our money. We have medical and dental health insurances for us and for our two kids and make sure we got what we have paid for. Emergency (Vertical) Cesarean Section

On July 1st, I had an emergency cesarean section due to prolapse of umbilical cord. I don't want to have a c-section, but knowing that my baby wasn't doing good inside my tummy, I had to make a sudden decision. It scares me, it was horrible inside the emergency room where all the nurses and doctors were in a hurry to just put me to sleep in order to cut me open, as in really fast. I don't know about any c-section until my OB told me that she will cut me vertically. I wonder why, but at that time, it was fast. I think I have to ask my questions once my baby was out and fine.

After the surgery, I was in a lot of pain. I had a vertical c-section or known as classical c-section. C-section or cesarean section was performed due to risk for complications to avoid dangerous delivery-room situations and can save the life of the mother and/or baby when emergencies occur. It was my first c-section because I have a vaginal delivery with my son. After the surgery, I thought to myself, I'm not going to have another baby anymore. It is enough for me now to have one each, a boy and a girl.

In addition, having a C-section may — or may not — affect future pregnancies and deliveries. If a woman had a vertical c-section which I had and when I get pregnant again, it is not recommended for me to have a vaginal delivery due to a membrane rupture so it means I will have a c-section again which I'm not fond of. So, I guess I'm done with two!

Now, I'm doing good. My incision was healing and I guess already healed. I'm getting back to normal and looking forward to get back on my daily routine again. I thank God for my fast recovery.

Ready for School?

A while ago, my sister in law came over to give us our haircuts. Well, my husband and I had our haircut, finally but not our son, he’s not cooperating this time so I thought maybe it’s better for him to get a haircut next time. I thought he needs a new haircut now because soon will be his first day of school. I’m kind of excited about him going to school, yet I’m nervous. I’m truly going to miss my little boy a lot. I know he’s not little anymore, but he was still my baby boy.

Anyway, since there’s only two weeks left for us to enjoy our family time all together, I also spend more time with my son. I know he’s not going to spend most of his time now with me. He was seemed so excited about it, so now I’m looking for some school supplies for him. A new back pack, notebooks, some pencils, crayons and a lot more! Thank goodness, I found some Savings.com deals online which will help me to save some money on clothing too. I know my boy will need a lot of clothes for being at school three times a week! I’m going to miss him a lot!

Prolapse of Umbilical Cord Issues

Last July 1st was the day my daughter was born. It's been almost 12 hours of waiting until something unexpected happened. At around 10 pm, my nurse checked me and my baby's heartbeat to see how we progress. It wasn't nice at all. My baby's fetal heartbeat keeps on moving around until it stopped. So, the nurse was skeptic and called my OB to come to check me out. By the time, my OB came, she noticed something unusual and not supposed to be. She can feel my baby's umbilical cord coming out first to the baby which means prolapse of umbilical cord.

Prolapse of Umbilical Cord is a complication that occurs prior to or during delivery of the baby. In a prolapse, the umbilical cord drops (prolapses) through the open cervix into the vagina ahead of the baby. The cord can then become trapped against the baby’s body during delivery. Umbilical cord prolapse occurs in approximately one in every 300 births which I think I'm so unfortunate that I'm one of those 300 births.

Anyway, prior to my labor, my OB ruptured my amniotic membrane to speed up labor since I'm about 41 weeks already and never had any contractions at all. So, my OB ruptured it until after two days, my water broke. Since then, it has been like that until I went to the hospital.

There are three reasons that I guess the reason why I had an emergency cesarean section:

My baby might have an unusual long umbilical cord
I might have too much amniotic fluid in the membranes
Maybe, rupturing the membranes to induce or speed up labor early is not a good idea.

Whatever it might be, I'm so glad we're (me and my baby) both safe and fine. My baby is getting too big as well and she's doing good. I'm so glad she's safe now. I thank God everyday for her.

rv travel emergency

A friend of mine recently bought an RV which they got for a second hand. It wasn’t that expensive because they bought it from a friend of her husband as well. She showed some photos of their RV and it was still in good condition.

The RV has a small bedroom, a bathroom, and a small kitchen, perfect for any road trip they might have in the future. She even invited me to come with them the next time they will go to Chicago. I was seemed so excited about it but sometimes it scares me knowing that what if their second hand RV will break down in the middle of nowhere? It might be safer and I will feel secure, if they have a rv travel emergency insurance that will help us when RV breaks down.

Well, to make me feel secure and no worries, it is better for me to ask her about if their RV has insurance. You know it is better to just ask than to be sorry.

=Yes, I do! I have an oldest sister and brother. I'm closer to both of them. I'm the youngest and I think having only the three of us, can brought us more closer.

2. Would you rather be slightly UNDER weight or slightly OVER weight?
=I would rather be under weight than over weight because it is easier to gain weight than losing it.

3. What's your favorite State Fair food to splurge on?
=I love corn dogs and pop! Maybe some fries too!

4. What are your thoughts on your kid(s) going to school in a few weeks?
=Well, excited about it, but I'm surely going to miss him a lot!

5. Pool or Ocean?
=I would go with the ocean! It's more open which means germs can go along farther than a pool. But, a pool has a chlorine that kills germs but it is not really an assurance, I think I still go with the ocean.

Every time we go out with my family, I got worried what my newborn was doing behind the wheel knowing that sometimes when a newborn was on the car seat, there's a tendency for their head to be slumming on a harness which I bet hurts their neck. There aren’t a lot of things I like about the country, to be honest with you. My husband loves it all though so we’ve got this huge lake house which sounds a lot more glamorous than it actually is. I wish there was a nice way to tell him I’d rather him come up here by himself than to bring me with him but it would just break his heart and there’s nothing really all that bad that I can’t put up with it for a weekend at a time. I made sure we had all the creature comforts I needed like wildBLUEDEALS.com internet and running water and that’s enough to get me by. My husband on the other hand could spend all day sitting on that dock just staring into the water or out on the boat tearing through other people’s wake. Anyway, I know this house will be a part of my life for a long time so I’m going to have to get used to it…that will happen eventually, right?

Great Concept for Car Seats

A few days ago, I was online looking for a head support for my baby for her car seat until I found out about this car seat canopy by JJ Cole. I never seen this before even not before my son was born four years ago. It was just a latest invention which I was thankful about.

Since my daughter was born, we always used a blanket to cover her up whenever we went out either at the grocery store, at the mall, or at the restaurant just to keep those unwanted germs and dusts from her. Until I saw this product online at Babies R' Us. I went to the store right away to check on it. Good thing, it was on sale and I got 20% off coupon in any item too. For $24.99, it was marked down to $19.99 then with 20% off, I paid $15.49 for this canopy.

The J.J Cole Infant car seat canopy is very lightweight and breathable fabric that keeps my baby at the ideal temperature and prevents overheating. It has a front opening for quick access to baby while canopy stays in place, and the elasticized outer band conforms to car seat for a perfect fit. It is very convenient which provides easy access to my baby, the front has several Velcro closures that you can individually open/close. and no problem of blanket being blown away by the wind.  I got the Blue Vine color even though I have a daughter. I don't really mind about specific gender color, but this color is perfect though it matches our Eddie Bauer car seat in beige/gray color. It also doubles as a good sun protector in the car. It fits the car seat perfectly, and the elastic ends of the cover work well to adjust to the size of most car seats. I would highly recommend this car seat cover to anyone.
