Blue Christmas with Family

Well, finally the Christmas was over! My kids had so much fun opening their gifts and I was too. Too bad hubby wasn’t here with us due to work, but hopefully soon he will come back home. During these time of year was the hardest for my sisters in law, brother in law and even to my husband because their mom was not with them anymore to celebrate Christmas. Then, so my father in law who is now living in Florida flew back here in Michigan to spend time with his kids. He knew that it would be hard for now to be not having a parent with them. I thought it was so nice of my father in law to do that.

Anyway, last Christmas day, we went to my husband’s aunt to share Christmas dinner with them. She is my mother in law’s one and only sister. It was our first time since my mother in law died. It was fun; my kids had fun too, though my son had some dog allergies, so eventually it turned out to be a nightmare because they have a dog. Then, by Tuesday, we’re supposed to go to a party for my father in law’s side, but we didn’t go this time due to the fact that they have dogs too and my son was allergic to it. So, we stayed home until Wednesday. We went to my sister in law’s house for a family Christmas gathering. We exchanged gifts and it was fun! It was a bust week for me and for all us.

Well, I hope next holiday will be much better because hubby will be with us. We missed him so much.
