~Well, maybe just more moola all year around. I've been a good girl for the whole year and I guess I deserve some special gifts.

What else do you want this week? Share it all.

~I want to just have a healthy life all year around especially for the next couple of years. I wish I could able to visit my parents soon and maybe more money...
As of now, I need some rest from too much work when my sister and her family were here to spend a holiday vacation with us.

New Sled for a Ski Vacation

Last Thursday, my husband and I went to a store for like 10 pm to buy our son a Christmas gift. It was actually the late time for us to buy one since all stores will be closing then for Christmas. I’m so glad that when we went to the store, we already knew what we want for our son this Christmas. So, we bought him a new winter boots, new shoes, one more cartridge for his leapfrog, and a new snow sled. I was so excited about it although my son was only 3 years old but I was the one who get so excited for him to get himself a new sled. I wish we could able to go for a ski vacations sometimes. Well, when he opened his gifts and saw the sled he was kind a wondering what it is for. So, now we were waiting for some inches of snow so we can able to play outside.

Small Talk Six: Gifts and Expectation

This week on Small Talk Six topic last week and this week are the 6 gifts you or someone in your house received that you’ve regifted or donated in the past and 6 thing you are looking forward to in 2010.

I gave some special gifts to my sister that I received last year. Some of which are so special that I wanted to share it with her. Here are the 6 gifts you or someone in your house received that you’ve re-gifted or donated in the past.

1. A sweater coat that I bought a couple of months ago. I was thinking of selling it in a resale shop but my sister needs it the most. So, I wrapped it and gave it to her.

2. A CD by Faith Hill entitled "The Baby Changes Everything". It was given to me by my mother in law and I was thinking of giving it to her since she just had her baby a couple of months ago.

3. A first baby Christmas photo frame that I never used for my son. So I thought it could be nicer for her son to have it now.

4. Some clothing for my nephew...

5. Some shoes for my nephew

6. Lastly, some of my recipe books...

And, the 6 things that I look forward to in 2010:

Information is a Matter!

A couple of days ago together with my family and friends we went shopping for two consecutive days, and guess what? Since we moved into this new area and visit the mall after two years, I was so surprise that this mall never ever had any store directory information booklet. I have been to several malls and all of them had store directory that you can carry around and not go to particular customer service to ask or even go to their store directory boards that you can’t use unless you purposely look for it. I hate it because it makes me wonder where those stores located at. I wish there could be more store information booklet that I could get every time I went to that mall because it really wasting my time. Oh well, I guess, I have to memorize all the stores and their building location so that every time I go there I will know.

Now, I know how information really matters...

Most and Least

This week on The Question of the Week is… What do you like the most about your home? The least?

~Well for me, I like our kitchen and our 1.5 bathroom because it is so nice and well decorated. I also love the vinyl floor because it is so easy to clean up than having carpet. Also, our window cover because we can able to choose what type of shading we want which is cool.

And the least I like about our home is our upper floor because it quirks because there’s loosing of nails or something and it is so annoying especially during the night …

So Glad!!!

It’s going to be the best holiday season for us because a family friend came over for the holiday to stay with us for a week. I am so glad as well because I got to see their new baby too. Then, I am quite so busy for these past few days because of this, plus we are having trouble dealing out internet connection. As yesterday, I am so glad that the connection were back and I am right on track. Although, I have been so busy and missed a lot of updates on my blog, but so glad I am back and kicking…
Anyway, probably, I will be back right on officially, after Christmas since my friend will go back to their place after the 28th, so I’ll be having time to catch up.

Well, this is memorable holiday for us too and I wish to see them again sometime next year, hopefully…

Thursday Thunkers: Wake Up Call

This week on Thursday Thunks is:

1. Isn't showing a condom commercial during Sex Rehab With Dr Drew almost like showing a pain narcotic or an alcohol commercial during Intervention? = I don't remember because I don't watch any show with Dr. Drew at all.

2. Burger King and Ronald McDonald met Colonel Sanders in a dark alley. They beat him down for just serving chicken and not sharing his "11 herbs & spices". The Colonel goes down. Begs for his life. Where do they go to eat afterwards? = At Tacobell with hot on fire volcano tacos...

3. You take a shower, go to leave the bathroom and the door is stuck. Due to humidity and moisture it won't budge. It will not open. No one else is home. You can't go out the window. How long do you sit in the bathroom and how do you occupy your time? = I think I just rather have some relaxation in the bath tub with some candles around while waiting for someone to come in so I can get out. Or maybe clean the bathroom, instead.

4. You are a rockstar, but you need a cool rocker name. What is it and how did you decide on that name? =Joyful Sweet

5. Have you ever gotten naked at a family function? = No, not at all..

6. If purple ate yellow, what color would come out? = red?

7. The closest paper and pen to you right now. What color are they? = white and blue

8. Corn chips or potato chips? = corn chips

9. You are forced to swallow either a diamond or a piece of coal. Don't ask. Just do it. Which do you choose? = diamond...

10. If your mouse decided to attack your keyboard, who would win? = my mouse...

Our Special Room

This week on I Want...Wednesday question is:

What special room do you want in your house?

I would say our basement. Since it can be use as a small office, a living room, a guest room, or it can be a gym room. As of now, it is our living room because it has a nicer space than our upper living room. As of now, since our basement is our living room, I want a room that I could spend my time alone, maybe a small office room maybe. So, I can study and review alone without any destruction.

What else do you want this week? Share it all.

I want to shop for some holiday gifts earlier and maybe will get ready for an upcoming Christmas party I am going to attend this Sunday. I want to eat delicious Filipino foods! I can't wait on this coming Sunday!

Water Filter, the best Christmas Gift!

Who does not need fresh, clean water these days? I think everyone needs clean, fresh water, right? Since I came here in US, I get used to drink a bottled water or even distilled water since in the Philippines, it is not safe at all to use water directly came out from the faucet. Therefore, I was thinking that I might get my parents a water filter system to make them stop using and buying distilled water which somewhat cause a lot too. So, I was looking online and I’m so glad that there’s a wide variety of water filterstoday that can be use at any type of water faucet. Well, I guess, it could be a perfect Christmas gift for them because it will give them a fresh, clean and healthy drinking water for a lifetime.

Tuesday Tunes: Word Association

This week on Tuesday Tunes: A winter word association game on a music style.

Here are the words for me to think of what artist, song, etc., that I could think of.

snowflake
: Suzy Snowflake by Rosemary Clooney. I first heard it at my mother in law's car yesterday. Good thing I found it online. This song was written by Sid Tepper and Roy Bennet, and was recorded by Miss Clooney in 1951. The little black and white stop action animation version was also done back in the 50's and has been shown on TV ever since! I remember it from the 60's....and Christmas couldn't officially start until my brother and sister and I had seen "Suzy Snowflake".

bitter: Bluer than Blue by Micheal Johnson. The song is sung from the point of view of a man who is in a relationship that is failing, and because of this he is trying to convince himself that his situation will improve once the one he loved moves on or left with the lyrics written as: After you go, I can catch up on my reading / After you go, I have a lot more time sleeping in the 1st verse; then in 2nd verse as After you go, I have more room in my closet / After you go, I can stay out all night long if I feel like; however, it is evident by the lyrics to the song that his efforts are thus far unable to erase his sadness: But I'm bluer than blue, sadder than sad / You're the only light this empty room has ever had / Life without you is gonna be / Bluer than blue.

cold: The group called COLD. An American post-grunge band, formed in 1996 in Jacksonville, Florida. With two gold-albums under their belt, Cold has sold over one million records. On November 17, 2006, Ward announced on MySpace that, after a period of uncertainty since that February, the group had decided to disband. In July 2008, it was announced that the original line-up will be reuniting for a tour in early 2009, followed by a highly anticipated new studio album due in January 2010.

snuggle: I have to search it online. Schnuffel Bunny: Snuggle Song for Easter. Snuggle Song" is the country's latest music and cultural phenomena. We gave "Snuggle Song" music video by Schnuffel Bunny. Finally an oldie and classic song. This song will never leave the airwaves so bookmark this single as well as in our dryer.

kind: This song is always on my mind: A Kind of Magic by Roger Taylor for the film Highlander, for which Queen wrote the music. The song reached number three in the UK Singles Chart, but only reached number forty-two on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.

tree: It reminds me of the song What a Wonderful world, a song written by Bob Thiele (as George Douglas) and George David Weiss. It was first recorded by Louis Armstrong and released as a single in 1968.

dark: Bruce Springsteen Dancing in the dark. A video for you!

long: A long and winding road. A ballad written by Paul McCartney that originally appeared on The Beatles' album Let It Be.

candy: "My Boy Lollipop" is a song written in the mid-1950s and usually credited to Robert Spencer, Morris Levy and Johnny Roberts. It was originally recorded by the American singer Barbie Gaye and became a minor Rhythm & Blues hit in late 1956, spelled "My Boy Lollypop" on the original 78 record label. It is most famous, however, for the 1964 recording by Jamaican singer Millie Small which is considered the first international ska hit.

special: It reminds me of a Philippine movie: A Very Special Love is a 2008 blockbuster romantic-comedy film from Star Cinema and VIVA Films; featuring the first team-up of the Pop Princess, Sarah Geronimo with Box-office King, John Lloyd Cruz. This movie directed by Cathy Garcia Molina received an “A” rating from the Cinema Evaluation Board. Moreover, the final figures presented by the two film companies confirmed a remarkable P 180 million box-office earnings and making it the 4th Top-Grossing Film of All-Time in the Philippines, and also it is vying as the no.1 movie of 2008 that would make Geronimo and Cruz the Box-Office King and Queen of that year.

Our Elegant Christmas tabletop tree

It’s 15 days to go before Christmas day and so hubby and I was looking for a Christmas tree so we can able to set it up before the Christmas is over. Then, I thought it could be a lot of work again when the holiday is over since we don’t have guests coming for Christmas, we thought that we might just get a simple and yet elegant looking Christmas tree so we thought that we might just get a tabletop tree because it is easy to put and set up.

Surprisingly, yesterday, I received a 16 inch christmas tabletop tree from Collectibles Today for a review. I was so excited to see what it looks like and so gladly hubby grabbed some small knife to open the package right away. I was so thrilled and astonished of what I saw. It was a lovely Walt Disney world of Christmas tabletop tree. So I put it up on the counter right away and put its little accessories on, then start it up. I was amazed of how beautiful it was, plus I can’t wait to listen to its music. So, I turned it on again because it has two setting for music and for motion, I turned up the music and it plays Christmas songs medley in a sound mode.

It was so fascinating especially it’s little miniatures of Walt Disney characters on it like Cinderella, Snow White, Bambi, Pinocchio, Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast characters, and my all time favorite character Mickey Mouse and trains. My son loves Mickey Mouse a lot, so when he saw Mickey Mouse riding on the train, he can’t get off his eyes on it. It has three trains on it and the two will bring back to life whenever I turned it on, a rotating drawn sleigh with Pluto and reindeers on them, a Cinderella castle which all the prince and princesses is on it. It has 20 LED lights which are so beautiful, so when we turned our lights off, it was splendid the lights are perfect.

Now, I put it up perfectly on our living room and I was grateful because it never occupied a wide range of space plus it is so accessible, I can put it wherever I want to. I guess now we don’t need a Christmas tree, so glad I got it just right on time.

If you are looking for tabletop tree too, you can visit CollectiblesToday.com at any time and enjoy their express shipping on Christmas day guaranteed.

Tuesday Toot: He's a BIG kid now!

Last Tuesday, I was so busy since I was out of the house since 1 pm to go to my old school for an hour. It was a long day for us and it was so cold already. Michigan weather is finally here for crying out loud. I wish I could move farthest south east area to get warmer and be comfortable.

Well anyway, it is time for my Tuesday Toot, although I was a day late to post my entry for this meme but it is so fun to do so I am still posting it no matter what.
I don’t know what I am going to toot this week but I am glad to share about my son who is now nearly three years old. I can’t believe how time went by so quickly and now sooner I could have a 4 year old. I wish I could stop time and make him my little baby again which I know is too impossible.

One thing for sure I noticed about my son when I realized and made me realized that he is not a baby anymore. Last week, we went to my sister in law’s house to get a free haircut for him. All he did was sit there and wait until his aunt is done cutting his hair. I was like, oh, my gosh, what was his deal. He was supposed to cry and be cranky about getting a haircut. This time he never did. It was surprising for me and for my hubby as well.

Then, yesterday, my mother in law was with me to watch for my son for an hour while I was in my class. My mother in law needs to go to a restroom and all he did was hold his nana’s hand and walk all the way to the building where the restroom is, then wait until she is done by the door. He always does what has been told.
Now, I am happy and yet kind a weird on feeling because I feel like I did not want him to be grow older and be a big man. Oh, well, I guess he is a BIG kid now...

QOTW- December 7th

The question of the week: Holiday season – Happy? Depressing? Overrated? Perfect? Discuss!

All of the above, I guess in some aspects. It's enjoyable in some way but sometimes it is so stressful and can be depressing sometimes what to get and what not, what to do and what not. It's seems perfect but we thought we just highly think about it overall. It is just so overwhelming sometimes. I wish I would have time to just be happy and relax after all these things were done.

Won a Countertop Filtration System from 3 Garnets & 2 Sapphires

I won again!

Last December 1, 2009, I received an email from Ms. Karen of 3 Garnets & 2 Sapphires about me winning the giveaway contest she hosted, the 2-Gallon Countertop Cuisinart CleanWater Filtration System giveaway. I was so excited because this is my first time to win one of her giveaways and now it made me so eager to enter more.

After a week of knowing I won, I finally received the filtration system today by UPS! I was so excited because then my husband and I won’t need to buy more bottled waters anymore. I know we were crazy over faucet water thing but I never get used to drinking water from the faucet, and so my husband really understands why therefore when I entered this giveaway, I was hoping that I could win but I never believe that I would. Surprisingly, I did win!

Well, what I like about this filtration system is that this machine is very user friendly. When the hot or cold lights are on, that means you can dispense hot, cold, or room temperature water by placing your cup, glass, or bottle under the appropriate spigot and then pushing the button marked with the desired temperature. Then, you can turn it off when not in use. When you need to dispense a hot water, it has a on and off button where you need to push the on button first before dispensing the hot water which is very cool because then my son won’t get into danger when he gets a chance to explore something in the kitchen. You know kids…

Then, it has an extra 2 free filters in it! Well, we don't need to buy a new one maybe for a year.

Then, the 2- gallon is absolutely enough for all of us. Now, I don’t need to wish for buying a water dispenser which I wanted to have for couple of years ago, but never had a chance to buy one.
Now, I'm loving my CleanWater® 2-Gallon Countertop Filtration System by Cuisinart.

Now, I need some hot tea! :D

Warm Getaway Vacation

My husband and I planned a year ago to go to Florida for a winter getaway vacation but due to some personal occurrences, we can’t able to go for a vacation. So, we ended up stuck in our home for the rest of the winter and wait until some things that we needed to do is done. Although, I really wanted to go to Florida this time of season because it is getting cold here in Michigan and I hate being outside all the time. I wish I could able to just fly to Florida and enjoy some warm weather even just for a while.

Good thing my father in law was there right now. I envied him for having fun in the warm weather while we were freezing with the cold and snowy weather. Well, I think this is life; we couldn’t do something about it for now. If I can go to Florida, I would probably need some place to stay or maybe we could stay at my father in law’s house. I have found a destin florida hotels online too at very affordable prices. Maybe we can try that one too. Since my father in law is kind an about ten hours away and if we stay at Destin, FL there I could able to visit Walt Disney, Sea World, and some hot spots. I wish I could go to Florida tomorrow to have some warm getaway vacation of my life.

Small Talk Six: In the world of Disney

It's Saturday and it is time for Small Talk Six. This week's topic is: 6 Disney characters you’ve found to be most interesting.

I always love watching Disney movies but there are only few characters that I love and I always had fun. I think that's the reason why I never get tired of watching Disney movies over and over again.

So, in the world of Disney, most interesting characters for me are the following:

1. Pocahontas - Despite the fact of choosing what she love, she still have the heart to help her people. I like about her is her eagerness and bravery to face her enemies.

2. Remy of Ratatouille - Although he is rat, it never stopped him to dream and his love for food. Although, Remy's family is skeptic about it, it never stopped him to do what he loves.

3. Ariel of Little Mermaid - It's a delightful fantasy tale of a young mermaid who is fascinated with the world above the surface and longs to live on land. I liker her courage, giving up everything for the one you love! Sounds like me! lol!

4. Happy of the Seven Dwarfs - despite the fact that he is fat, he still have smile on his face no matter what. That's why he was named Happy. He is the joyous dwarf and is always laughing. I wish I could able to do that too.

5. Dory of Finding Nemo - I like her despite the fact of having a forgetful mind, but made me interest her. It never stopped her from helping a friend and she always have a happy thought.

6. Last but not the least, I just recently watch the movie and I was caught. It was so fun and very sweet movie. One of the character that interest me is the little boy named Russell, an 8-year-old Wilderness Explorer. Despite the fact that his father never have time with him, it made him to be a better kid, a smart boy, and very helpful as well. I like him too because he reminds me of my nephew whom I never seen for almost five years now. I kind a missing them a lot too!

What I Want for my Child

It's time for I Want...Wednesday and this week's question is:

What do you want from your children (or from the children in your life, if you're chidless)?

I don't want material things, but I want him to be a good person he can be. To be a God fearing person and have an intelligence determination what is good or bad. I want him to be a good child, a good man, and probably a good husband and a father in the future.

As of now, I want him to be organized and to learn some ways on how to do things in his own. As a three year old, I want him to be potty trained and not to be picky eater anymore.

What else do you want this week? Share it all.

I want to shop for gifts this coming weekend and I want to get ready everything up before the Christmas day kicks in.

Modern and Contemporary Furniture

Although, I love our new place, but there is something that I really missed about living in our old place because it is closer to my favorite store who sells cheaper and yet modern items. I will missed it so bad since this is the only store I went to, every time I shop for modern and contemporary furniture or some home décor, kitchen tools, and a lot more. Since if we drive there now, it would take us about an hour to get there and of course, that’s crazy unless we bought tons of stuff so we can save money on gas.

Surprisingly, I have found one online where they sell a wide selection of modern and contemporary furniture. All their products were so beautiful, very versatile and very functional. Mostly, I love the idea of modern furniture because it looks refreshing and very pleasant. There is something light on them, I don’t know why but I find them very elegant and yet simple. It can go with any interior designs of living room, kitchen, bedroom, and even bathroom.

Well, I wish they were just cheaper than my favorite store, though. At least, I have found one.

Toot Wrap Up

It's time for Tuesday Toot and this week I am going to wrap up all what was happening for the past few days since I missed tooting about it for a month now.

After couple of weeks since we moved into our new home, we are finally setting in. All things were done and finally I have time to deal with my own things. Our basement is finally being installed and I don’t have problem with it anymore but to avoid my son to spill something on it so there will be no stain again. Then, we have our upper carpet being cleaned as well and now I can finally relax and wait for the holiday!
Then, I got some good news the other day since I won from one of the giveaway I entered and I can’t wait to receive the prize so soon in the mail. Then, I was so excited since I got my new phone works finally, after almost a week of dealing with it.
Then, some good news since my sister will come and visit us this coming holiday and I can’t wait to see her new baby, too.
Then, good news, this time we’re celebrating Christmas…LOL! Yes, that’s new to me! Don’t ask why!
And, finally, I’m almost done with my classes so soon and I can’t wait!

QOTW – Nov. 30th

And the Question of the Week is… do you use an alarm clock? Or are you able to always get up when you need to get up? Or do you even need to get up at a particular time?

~I do use an alarm clock if I have to wake up on a certain times, if not, then, I won't. Sometimes, I can't able to get up to turn it off, so that we usually put it away from bed. So I need to get up just to turn it off by then I can be up.

Mostly, hubby used the alarm clock since he needs to wake up early in the morning just to go to work. He usually likes the alarm clock to be away from bed, so he can't just turn it off and missed work, you know. So, he needs to wake up like early 6 am and I too because I can hear the alarm clock going on, but I went back to sleep afterward.
