Letter To Me
It's time for my Thursday Thunks. Today's theme is revitalized from Brad Paisley's song "A Letter to Me" where, in the song, he wrote a letter to his 17 year old self. For me, this is a good idea. None of us wrote some letter for ourselves, right? Maybe, this is the time...
Now, I will write a letter to myself when I was 16 running 17 years old.
Dear Joy,
I know life is so tough sometimes you experienced ups and downs of life. But we know there's Someone out there who would help and listen to you in time of your needs. Having problem with your family, especially your dad for being drunkard and smoker is not a big deal, all you need to do is just be of what you are. Being rebellious is not a good idea, good thing to know, you're still on the right track. Though, your dad gives some headaches for your mom, but he is still a good father, and so still you're glad that he is your father. Thankful enough that your mom have an immeasurable patience and strength to face these situation, so you can be like her too. I'm so glad you are. Having a sister who works abroad just to help your parents, to help you in your studies is quite amazing, so glad you did a good job at school too to repay all of your sister's hard work.
In life, sometimes, love doesn't come along yet as we wanted them to be. Sometimes, we feel so alone but that's life. There are some people who shows love interest into you but you don't like them as much. There are one guy who yes, shows that he's into you, but he never did love you as much as you do, it seem like just an attraction. You do loved and cared for him but seem everything doesn't functioning as you want to. But don't be so envious with everybody who found their true love. Since love will come along, in the right time, in right sequence. All you have to do is just wait, patiently wait. So glad you did wait and though you wanted to just get married in the age of 28, but if love came along, you never even notice it. It is just so simple, love moves in mysterious ways, especially when you least expect it. Just be yourself, you're still young and beautiful, smart and has a charisma that only a true, honest man is worthy. Just wait, enjoy the things you still want to do when you were still young, enjoy life, and be happy.
Sincerely,
Joy of Today
