Hump Day: Cars/Automobiles/Vehicles

This is my first time to join the Hump Day Humor at Mercedes Rocks. I love humor and that is why, I love to share to you guys some of the unique stuff.
The Bamboo Jeep
A jeep featured in boing boing paving the way to put Filipino made bamboo jeep in blogosphere spotlight worldwide. This is a genuine, stylist and very native in nature jeep created by father of Novice Blogger .
The bamboo jeep (or kawayan jeep, as we call it in our native language) then was born from this culture. The jeep was created by my father supposedly for personal use only - my parents using it when going to work and dropping us, their children, when going to school. But since my father was a government employee (from the Department of Agriculture) and he had the obligation also to feature the products of our province, he used the bamboo jeep (as substitute to carabaos perhaps hehe) in the exhibits to attract people. I don’t know if you’re fascinated with a bamboo jeep but a lot of people here are really fascinated with it.

The Philippine Utility Vehicle (PhUV)
I spotted this MVPMaps PhUV at E Akino’s blog. A prototype of PhUV unveiling the vehicle assembled by Filipino, an indication of the coming birth of the new industry which is reported to revive the ailing auto parts local manufacturer targeting OFW’s as the market and enterpreneurs.
The PhUV (Philippine Utility Vehicle) is a Filipino vehicle: for Pinoys, made by 50,000 Filipino workers from over 300 Philippine made and assembled autoparts. It is designed to carry both people and cargo, thus it is ideal for business use on weekdays and family use on weekends.

Great pics!
I wonder how much fuel that bamboo jeep uses? Might be the answer to the high cost of fuel..but then again, heating it in winter might be a bit of a challenge....lol.
