When I arrived in Manila, Philippines last week, my sister in law and I stayed at the hotel afterward. We stayed two days and during our stay we also get a daily newspaper. As I look on the newspaper, I found the currency was smaller than it was before. I wish I could able to make a change but knowing that dollar to peso is not working well this time. I guess it is better for me to just enjoy my vacation and not to worry what might be the dollar could get while I stay in the Philippines.

Anyway, when I also look around more inside the newspaper, I also found out that gold is much higher now than silver. I thought it is really a good idea to invest now on gold. The easy way to invest is to buy gold coins. Gold coins are much easier to get these days because it can be bought by bullion. So, if I have money now, I would invest it on gold because I know gold would never decrease its price, therefore, investing money on gold is the smart choice.

1. Do you swim in the winter?
=Well, it depends. If I would swim in the winter inside a swimming pool, maybe I will. But not outside. That would be stupid thing to do. But, I do love to swim no matter what as long as it's not cold and I'm not cold.

2. Do you love or hate winter?
=I love winter because snow is beautiful. I just hate the cold that comes with it.

3. Do you put makeup/actual clothes on when you know you're going to be home all day with just family?
=I do put actual clothes on when I'm with family and a light make up like eye shadow, mascara, and lip gloss.

4. How old were you when you had your first alcoholic beverage?
=Oh, I think I was about 19. I think. It was only a sip though. I haven't really drink it. It was so strong. I was not even able to swallow it even. It upsets my stomach too.

5. How many ill calls in a 12 month period do you think are acceptable?
=Hmmmm....maybe 3 times is enough. More than that would be sickening.

Philippine Vacation

After almost 7 years of being here in US, I finally had a chance to travel to the Philippines to visit my family and friends. I was so excited about it, but I’m also worried if I could make it with a baby on board. Yet, despite the worries, I don’t mind knowing that it would be my first vacation since I left Philippines almost 7 years ago. It was exciting therefore I don’t mind what might happen and if my baby girl will be fine the whole time. My trip is tomorrow. I was seemed sad too because I will be leaving the two important people in my life, my husband and my son. I will be in the Philippines for 2 months and a half and that would be a long time to be away from them.

However, I thought being home might happen again but it will be another few years to come. So, now I will make the most of this vacation. Go out with my friends and family. Spend time with them as much as I could. Indulge myself with all these Filipino delicacies I missed eating for almost 7 years. I thank my husband for making this vacation possible.

Time to Save Money by Walgreens Prescription Savings Club

We are Tricare insurance members whom under Express Scripts health care system that provides us a fast service in regards of getting our prescription as well as to save money. Therefore, we consider about how our insurance meet our needs too in terms of getting our prescription fast and available for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  That’s why I choose Walgreens as our main pharmacy in terms of getting our prescriptions due to their availability. They’re fast and always have affordable, reasonable prices on prescriptions and even on non prescription medication.  Therefore, when I heard about the news that Walgreens were no longer on providing prescriptions due to ended contract between Walgreens and Express Script, I was seemed worried thinking of I'm going to do now? I don't want to use their mail order pharmacy; it takes a while for us to get the prescription. It is not a good idea.



However, due to the transition, it definitely affects most of the customers who had been a member of Express scripts and even customers who had been using Walgreens for years that has an insurance that uses express scripts as middlemen. It is definitely a burden for customers. So I'm thinking of what might be the other option by joining Walgreens Prescription Savings Club which I thought might a good idea due to you can save money as well for only paying $10 per year for the family and $5 for individual. This is what I am going to do now. I think it is much better due to the fact that Walgreens Prescription Savings Club provides various savings too like flu shots, pet prescriptions, nebulizers and diabetic supplies even. This is much better I guess.

Cookies are my favorite holiday treat

I guess that most people think of a dish or a casserole when they're asked what kind of food is their favorite kind of holiday food. But for me, my favorite kind of holiday food is definitely holiday cookies! I've always had a thing for Christmas cookies anyway, so I'm glad that as an adult I can control how many get baked in my household. I remember as a kid I would sneak a whole bunch of them and always be asking my mom to fix even more fo them.

I make it a point to actually start baking Christmas cookies the day after Thanksgiving while other people are out shopping the crazy sales. I like to look for new cookie recipes online and while I was doing that one day a few weeks ago, I ran across the website http://hearingaids.miracle-ear.com. Once I looked through it a little bit, I decided to go and get fitted with some of those hearing aids because I suspected that I've needed some of them for a while now anyway.

You really can't beat some classic cookies decorated in colorful icing. You can take the most basic cookies and make them that much better by drawing a holiday design on them.

1. What is the weather like where you are and do you like it?
=The weather here in MI is unpredictable. One day it's cold and the next day, it will be warm. Actually, it was a nicer winter since we don't have that much of the snow and it's been a little bit warmer for these past weeks.

2. When you're sick what do you seek comfort from?
=I always go to sleep to rest when ever I'm sick. Sometimes, I take medicines to feel better, but I only drink water to make me feel better which I did..

3. What do you need to do before the end of the month?
= This month? Well, I'm not sure. I just wanted to to get all things done. Like for our son to go to school soon, to be on a therapy, and be on my much awaited vacation after 7 years! I'm going home!

4. Have you ever served on a jury?
=Nope. I never did. I wish I can. I like to experience it. I wonder what it feels like.

5. If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?
=Maybe, a bird?? Is bird can be a pet? I guess. LOL! A parrot is a good idea because I can able to talk still lol!

Found a Fun in a Box

Last two weeks ago, my family had a blast opening Christmas presents and one of the gifts that my kids love is the Nintendo Wii we got at BestBuy.com. It was awesome since we got it online and it shipped for free. I was so excited for my son to open his Nintendo Wii too. One time, he opened the gift not knowing what’s inside. He was only 5 years old, yet, he knew that he got an awesome game console to play. He has been playing his Leapster Explorer for a year now and I guess it is time for him to experience a real game. Then, of course, that would go with XBOX 360 or PS3 as he gets older. Who knows! The package comes packed with the best-selling New Super Mario Bros.™ Wii game, a Wii Remote Plus™ controller, Nunchuk Accessory, and everything else we need to be up and running in no time. The Nintendo Wii is the most inexpensive of the current generation of gaming consoles that's we bought it. It provides motion sensing controllers and 480p graphics. I heard good reviews with Wii and so my husband and I decided to buy one.

Anyway, when he opened the gift, he wanted to play right away. However, I don’t want to spoil our New Year so I connect the console to our TV, I tried to, but it needs some cords. I was so upset. Now, I have to wait for hubby to come home so we can able to play with it. Well, it was better I guess because then I won’t get addicted to it. And just play Mario the whole time. I love Mario games. And so as my son, he loves Mario Wheels! I bet he’s going to have a blast soon.

Well, we decided to rent games somehow, if we like the game, then we might buy it. But now, I think the better idea is to rent and see if the games are worth keeping. I think I will buy Zumba Fitness too and that’s for sure!
