Becoming a Surrogate

>>  Friday, July 11, 2014

Surrogacy is a complicated, emotionally challenging way to have a child. For some couples, it can also be the best way. Normally, surrogacy is a choice made after couples go through years, and in some cases decades, of fertility issues and unsuccessful fertility treatments. In some cases, there is no practical explanation for why a couple faces infertility.

Instead of couples deciding that living childless was meant to be, they decide instead to do something about it in a non-traditional way: They find a woman who already has children of her own and who is in a stable, loving relationship to bear their child for them. This is the premise behind becoming a surrogate.

Surrogacy can also be the best option for a couple in a committed, same-sex relationship or marriage. A surrogate mother may be chosen who is committed to helping those who cannot bear children of their own to have the parental experience. This is an unselfish act, one that many surrogate mot
hers are admired for doing.

Gestational Surrogacy Means the Child Is Genetically Related

In gestational surrogacy, the woman's egg or several eggs are harvested, and the father's sperm are used to fertilize them. An embryo is then placed in
the surrogate mother's body for her to carry the baby to term. The child is the genetic child of the couple who will be raising him or her.

In the situation of same-sex couples, one partner may genetically contribute to the child's creation, along with a donor egg or sperm, or by using the surrogate mother's egg. In some cases, there is no genetic tie; the egg and sperm are both donated, and the surrogate is chosen to carry the child.

With so many positive ways to become a parent, options are now available for those who physically cannot have a child. Institutions like Growing Generations help couples by bringing them together with a surrogate who is willing and able to help them become parents.

What it Takes to be An Artist?

>>  Sunday, January 26, 2014

If you love music, composes songs and got the voice, why not make a recording songs? With lots of music accessories and equipment now, all you need is a music recording studio and you're all set to make your own music to music videos. I have known some people who recorded their songs and also made their own video. And eventually make money out of it, locally. Also, if you were realistic of what you can accomplish, then it will keep you stronger and be positive about it. If you love to sing, just enjoy it to the fullest.

At first, I thought it's hard to make a music video or songs, but with a lot of plug ins and available studio line, it is going to be possible. If you know the basic recording processes, then using a Studio 11 will be easier for you to compose, arrange, record, edit, mix and master professional quality music. Also, it was on sale online where you can save on fl studio signature bundle at musicians friend which a must have for you to create great, amazing music in the future. And if you master your craft, then you're good to go. Also, if you write songs, it will increase your credibility as an artist and that will expand your potential as well.

So, if you have talent, show it to the world! It's better to try it and unless you did, than never has. Plus, if you have a networking and group of friends, then you will have the key to a successful future of being an artist. It's better to take the chances you have right now than to be sorry later.

Our Subtle, Rich Look Height Dining Set

A few years back, we got our old dining table from a family member. Then, after a couple of years, we finally decided to get rid of it. We really didn't want to, but unfortunately, things happened when we least expected it. When we were still storing other chairs that comes with the dinette, since the kitchen area were too small for more than three chairs, we stored it right in our garage. Since the garage area is a condo unit, it is normal for other tenants to come and go. Without expecting, somebody stole our one chair. So, there's three chairs left.

Then, eventually one chair got broke down and now the other one, the back panel broke off. So we ended up having one chair left. So, we badly needed to get a new one. We were thinking of getting four chairs, since we wanted to keep the dining table, but chairs were a lot expensive more than we thought. We would spend almost $200 for four chairs or $100 for plastic ones or not real wood chairs. So, what's the point? They're going to break again.

So when we went to Art Van Furniture, we found out about their clearance section. We saw this nice 5 piece dining table for only $299! It s original price is $599! We got it about half off! We're lucky to find what we were looking for. So, without a doubt we purchased it. A subtle, rich look of these Milano Collection Counter Height Set is super cute. The Espresso finish and PU seat offer a warm yet bold look. The transitional styling makes this set great for any home and kitchen looks.

We totally adore our new dining set, it's what I dream of to have actually. A perfect size as well for our small kitchen. For $300, we can have a brand new dining table and with Polyurethane upholstery on back and seat which known to be puncture and wear resistant and easy-to-clean, we got the best deal in town! Our first ever dinette! Now, let's cook some meal for lunch!

How to Play Electric Guitar? (Beginners)

Why a lot of people chooses the traditional guitar over electric guitar? Simply because the traditional is more on mobility and no need of electrical cord to make it work. Unlike, the electric guitar, in order for it to work, then you need a plug. Well, for me both of them are useful. It only depends on what type of environment you were in. If you have electricity available, why not play an electric guitar, but if not, then traditional guitar works best, particularly in remote areas.

Since we all know how easy it is to play the traditional, let's all find out of how to play electric guitar, especially for beginners. For me, playing an electric guitar is so much easier, no pain on fingers and mostly it's smaller in size. However, it is not that easy than I thought. When I had a chance to play dean palomino electric guitar, I had some minor difficulties. Maybe because I need to first learn some basic stuff on how to play it. To know more of how the electric guitar works and how to play it right. Maybe, if I learn the basic, then I will be proficient with it.

There are some helpful tips online too where you can find free lesson on how to play electric guitar, maybe I will go with that, than hire a professional teacher. What do you think? Well, maybe first thing to do, is to get me an electric guitar for practical use.

Stainless Steel Gravestone for Dad

Last week, my brother sent me some of the pictures for my dad's gravestone also known as grave headstone. I was surprised of how nice it is. The sad thing is, it's been a month since we ordered it, and now it's finally done! It took about almost a month. I'm also wondering where it is. Now, it's finally here!

But, when I received the picture, I was so surprised! My brother did a good job on selecting our dad's headstone. It was beautiful and has a great craftsmanship of stainless steel work.  But one thing, I did noticed on the wording on the headstone, there's no word "husband" in it. I think my brother didn't really thoroughly look at it, though. I also like the idea that my dad's photo were engraved into it, too. And still vividly remember those times, when we took that picture on my wedding day. He looks so happy and content. The gravestone is heat and rain proof as well and of course with less maintenance. It has 10 to 15 years sustainable time  expectancy as well which is good as long as long its away from paint thinner.

Anyway, when my brother took this picture, it wasn't placed yet on my dad's grave site. So, hopefully, he would send me another set of pictures after they place it on the my dad's grave. I can't wait to really see the headstone, nice and clear. Well, I wish our dad would love his headstone, I bet he would.

Advantages of e-cigs

>>  Tuesday, January 21, 2014

We already all know about the new alternative to smoking traditional or regular cigarettes since a lot of people by now, already been choosing Electronic cigarettes over the traditional due to the fact that it is widely acceptable to social due to its clean and inoffensive in terms of vapor and smoke, if there is one, since the harmful effects of traditional cigarettes which we may all know is way more dangerous and causes various illnesses such as cancer.

What are Electronic cigarettes, by the way? According to 21stcenturysmoke.com, electronic cigarettes is a battery powered tube that mixes a nicotine cartridge with propylene glycol, delivering it in a controlled way while you draw on the end (mouth piece portion). It’s a flameless, smoke-free, and tar-free way while enjoying the smoking true experience.

Since e-cigs are manufactured flameless, it's non- resistant to any fire hazard that sometimes due to negligence of a person smoking. According to the American Health Foundation, Smoking is a leading cause of fires in many more countries and it has been the cause of an estimated 30% of U. S. and 10% of global fire death burdens. No wonder why, traditional cigarettes can be dangerous. While e-cigs are the best alternative to prevent this danger to happen. Since e cigs is flameless and don't burn.

Smoke Free

Since electronic cigarettes are flameless, then they're definitely smoke free. When it's smoke free, it's less harmful to others. We all know that second hand smoke is above risky to those who didn't smoke because they still going to take in the number of nicotine as the smokers do. Second hand smoke has a higher concentration, therefore, it is harmful and dangerous. Fortunately, e-cigs is here to work on that and to make it more acceptable to social environment.

Tar Free

What is tar? Tar stands for Tobacco Residue. It is a particles from the burning end of the regular or traditional cigarettes which totally cause messy and untidy environment. Imagine all the cigarettes butts everywhere? It reminds me of the place where I was at the red light and while waiting for the light to turn green, it happened I looked outside and looked at the ground, and there are cigars butts everywhere! It's sad. Eventually, traditional cigarettes aren't only smoke fire hazard but also causing pollution. What it is with your teeth? If you smoke, then you what Tar can do with your pearly white teeth. But with e cigs, then you don't have to worry about that.

These are some of the things that seem to be many advantages to Electronic Cigarettes. At www.21centurysmoke.com, you can get started on your purchasing of an e cig and also to learn more about it.

Waiting for Superman

>>  Saturday, January 18, 2014

In my English class last year, I happened to write about this movie after watching it. Have you seen it? If not yet, well, let me tell you some interesting facts about it.

David Guggenheim is film and television director whom known to write documentaries that he became famous for. From "An Inconvenient Truth" director David Guggenheim's "n", a 2010 documentary film talks about the challenging experimentation and controversial issues regarding the public school system in the United States which open up en engaging and interesting stories from profiled five young students with their families whose future hang on luck while reformers and educators trying to find answers and solutions within the broken school system.

The movie that shocked parents and teachers to learn that the reality of educational system here in U.S. is failing for some reasons that it could affect the reality of good teaching which could have a huge impact on a very large population of students, but also delivered consequences that gives an idea that teaching saves lives, yet bad teaching desolate them. The movie set in the small towns across America, somewhere in Washington, D.C. which parents send their kids to school with the highest hopes and dreams that could be in a jeopardy.

In "Waiting for Superman", Guggenheim emphasizes that despite decades of well reforms and huge finances spent on the problem, still the public school system hasn't been improved, revealing Public education system everywhere is a failure and Charter schools are the answer.

Oh Oh Christmas Tree!

>>  Thursday, January 9, 2014

Last November 2013, I got so excited with the idea of getting a new artificial Christmas tree. Since the one we have was totally ugly! Yes, what I was thinking? Well, I bought the tree at Big Lots for $35 for 6 feet tall tree. And for me it's the best Christmas tree ever! We've been using the tree for two years, until I had enough of it. I looked online for some nice ones and I was so surprised of how lame I was. My old tree is hilarious! (I can't even stop laughing right now while writing this post).

But anyway, thanks to Home Depot for having sale on their Artificial Christmas trees. And that's where I found this 6-1/2 ft. Pre-Lit Aster Pine with Clear Lights that has a 47 inches base diameter and 825 tips to create a full-looking tree with plenty of room for ornaments. Wait until you plug it in because the 350 clear lights help add a warm holiday glow to my home! It was beautiful! And the 8-1/2 ft. long power cord allows for optimal tree placement which I don't have hard times of where to put our new Christmas tree.

The tree appears full and goes up as easily as one could expect. The price was perfect for $90 and the tree was easy to put together, however, there's a lot of space between branches, but it didn't give hard time to pull them all out together. And the lights worked fine and it looks real too!

Unfortunately, I didn't really buy new ornaments last year, so I still uses the old ones I have. But this time, I was getting so crazy going on the After Christmas sale on ornaments and I also got a new tree skirt for half off. Well, I'm so glad I did because I saved a lot of money on them too! I can't wait for next year for my new tree to be up again with the new ornaments this time and nicer tree too!

Last Glance with my Father...

Last December 24, 2013 is the day my dad's burial service. I was so sad because I wasn't able to be there for the very last time. However, thankful for the Skype and other means of communication that I was able to communicate and see my dad's burial service through the use of video chatting.

Anyway, my dad was buried in Buhangin Memorial Park in Buhangin, Davao City, Philippines. The last place of where I could able to visit him someday. I'm hoping this year, I could able to go back home and visit him. I felt so sad that I wasn't able to be there and be with him before he was gone. Well, life is too short for me to just feel guilty. I have to move on and hopefully someday, I was able to overcome the pain.

When my dad died, he was only 58 years old. His birthday was last January 2nd, he will be 59, then. But I guess, he will be forever 58. On his birthday, my family (my mom and my brother's family) went there to visit his grave. It was not done yet since they were still working on the head stone. So, the grave seemed to be undone. That was nice of them to do that. I wish next year I will be able to visit his grave, to celebrate his death anniversary and birthday with him.

Drug Addiction is Fatal

It was a couple of days ago when I saw a news on my Facebook page about Demi Lovato. A well known young singer and actress who publicly admitted about her addiction to heroine.

And then, her close friend Selena Gomez showed her support on her through that article which for me is quite a very serious problem for Demi. Being addicted to something systematic needed much attention. Not only support from friends but also something that will helped her to stop the addiction. I never been into any drug addiction in my life nor experienced any drug rehabilitation, yet I knew how the withdrawals can be depriving to feel better.

It's like an addiction to a cola, pop, soda or whatever you called it. Pop can be very addicting and I knew it because I've been in that position before. I experienced some withdrawals as well such as headaches the whole day, if I didn't drink a glass of it. Yet, over time, I was able to controlled it. Somehow I stopped drinking pop which I think I got lucky to be out in my system.

But, addiction to drugs can be worst than this. Therefore, when Demi talked about her addiction and her intention to reclaim her life was a good turning point. As the years went past, there a lot of drugs that had been consider to be a subject to a chronic addiction such as heroin and cocaine. Nonetheless, OxyContin (oxycodone) also been included as one of the popular addictions throughout United States.

Therefore, an oxy rehab center has been proclaim to help those who had been a victim of oxy, since the repercussions of Oxy addiction are fatal. Therefore, someone who had been into oxy addiction is in need of immediate help.

Fine Art Prints

>>  Tuesday, December 31, 2013

People that appreciate fine art may not be able to afford original masterpieces that are sold in private auctions or exchanged between museums and galleries. Nevertheless, art lovers can buy affordable posters and prints of works featuring their favorite painters, photographers and other artists. For example, there are fine art prints available for sale in specialty shops online and in traditional brick and mortar stores.

Prints and posters are available in a variety of sizes for hanging on walls in homes and offices. Art lovers can find reproduction prints of styles such as Renaissance, baroque, impressionism, cubism and contemporary. Essentially, some of the works of world famous masters are reproduced onto prints and posters that have colorful textures and appearances. These are printed replicas of paintings that can be found in museums worldwide. If people don't have a specific art style in mind, they can select prints and posters based on other more general subjects such as animals, children, fantasy, landscapes, religion, transportation and other themes.

Art prints and posters should be framed and displayed properly at home or at the office. Sometimes, matting and other material may be needed to properly fit a print inside a frame that is too large.

Photographic prints and posters also make up a large collection of modern art. Black and white photos have a classic theme that revives some vintage ideas and styles. Photos of sports and celebrities are also popular choices for mass produced art posters and printers for people to appreciate.

Moment of Mourning

>>  Friday, December 20, 2013

With my mom and dad taken last March 2012
A moment that I never expected today to experience. I received a private message from my sister in law through Viber about my father who had been rushed to the hospital due to not waking up one morning. He had been in slept for a while which we didn't know when he has been set to comatose. My mom told me that he went to bed the night of December 15, then never woke up the next morning. My mom kept on waking him up, but to no avail he's still asleep. Until he had been snoring unusually. So, my mom called my brother and that's where all the nightmare has begun. My dad never woke up since then. He had been in a coma for almost 4 days and within those 4 days, he had some brain strokes.

Until the Lord God Almighty decided to take him away. It was a sudden news for me. I never expected it really. My dad was a very loving man and though he was not perfect, yet he loved us unconditionally. I was so much in grief about his passing. The day he died was last December 19, 2013. A day I cried continuously while remembering his love for me.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go back home (Philippines) due to the fact that it was holiday and the price of the ticket is beyond over the board, if I flew the next day-- though they would give me a bereavement discount. But the really bad news is, I don't have my US passport yet. I didn't bother to get one after I became a US citizen last February of 2013. I thought I will not need it for a while because I will not come home anyway after maybe a few years now because I just went home last 2012, so I decided to get the passport card instead for identification purposes. Until this sudden event happened. I knew my dad would understand and he knew how we wanted to come home to see him for the last time so badly.

On the lighter note, I'm so glad that I went home last January 2012 until March. The last time I saw him in flesh and was able to hugged him so tightly. I will miss my dad so badly. It's a very painful feeling thinking that I will never able to talk and laugh with him again. I know time will heal the pain and wound of losing my dear papa. I know God will give me strength to overcome and eventually go on.

She Finally Did It!

>>  Tuesday, December 17, 2013

A couple of days ago, a friend of mine surprisingly left me a private message on Facebook. It has been years, since the last time I saw him. I was so amazed of how the years have changed him so much that I never even recognized him. Well, he was a homosexual since we were young and I truly understand and admired him. He is a very fond person and I am so glad of seeing him again. Or I would say her. She had been going through a lot and now she indeed fulfilled his dream to be a woman! I remembered those times when she mentioned about wanting to undergo a breast implant. I’m sure she’s serious and so when I saw him/her again, she indeed has it! She looked even beautiful now and I would say more feminine than me.

Well, I thought she might go to a good doctor because she really looked good with it. And I could see she’s happy and satisfied. Therefore, when it comes to sharing some of the breast augmentation montreal, I never had any argument with it. If a person willing to do it and it’s a dream for them to be a woman or to fulfill the emptiness, then why not. It’s your own choice and I think there’s nothing wrong with it. To get some ideas about it, breast implants montreal can be of great help as well.

So better check them out too if you or a friend willing to undergo breast implants. Life is too short to live unhappy. So, it’s better to follow your dreams and just go with it.

End of Fall Semester 2013

>>  Saturday, December 14, 2013

A week from now, my schooling would finally be over for now. Since holiday season is on its way. My class would end today, December 14, 2013. I have a Saturday class which I would do a presentation of my proposal essay which I'm so thankful about since it went pretty well.

Though, I was nervous speaking in front of my class, but good thing I survived. This morning is very crazy though. My class starts at 9 in the morning, yet it's been snowing pretty hard. So, I had to ask my husband to drive me to school instead. And then later on, he picked me up and it still snowing. I'm not used to driving in snow yet since I don't have that much of an experience driving a drastic weather like this.

After a day or two, I was so relieved since finally I'm done with the fall semester. My grades aren't that bad either. I had a A- on my GPA and I'm on the dean list, too! I'm so happy. Well, looking forward for next month!

Pedestal Velata Fondue Warmer Serving Up Memories

>>  Friday, October 18, 2013

We're a family of four and making meals is always important during dinner time. Yet, I'm also making sure that I cooked meals that are good enough for the four of us. Since left over really bothers me most of the time. I used to eat left over during the next day, but cooking meals more than I could eat is so much to bear. So, now I have to make sure, I cooked and made enough for all of us, so no leftovers, even food thrown in the garbage. Everything should be in small portions to ensure no bits and pieces that are left behind.

Therefore, when I had a chance to try this beautiful fondue warmer from Velata, I was so excited! The size is just perfect for my family. And it's very economical as well because I can make a small portion of chocolate fondue or cheese fondue that all of us can eat good enough. No fuss moments on my part because the fondue warmer is very easy to use and clean despite our busy schedules we can able to enjoy fondue has to offer. No more messy fountain, scorched chocolate, complicated instructions and even open flame.

Velata Fondue warmer I received is a kit with a silicone dish in it that prevents heat from escaping, keeping the melted chocolate at the perfect temperature with no stirring required. It also comes with fondue forks, fondue warmer using the heat of a 25-watt lightbulb and a spoon. I also received a complimentary Velata chocolate in Milk Chocolate, White chocolate and Caramel Milk chocolate. A part of their pedestal collection.

The good thing about Velata's products that they were all gluten free, soy free, trans fat-free, MSG free and GMO free. Their cheese fondue does not contain nuts and it is produced in a facility that does not process nuts. All of their flavors does contain dairy. A great collection to add on your dining table, or during party time because it has no flames and absolutely makes a stress-free setup!

Things to Consider Before Becoming a Nurse

>>  Saturday, September 28, 2013

Maybe it has always been your dream to become a nurse simply because you think that helping people is more important than almost anything else. You want to do everything in your power to assist those who are sick or injured. You are naturally a caring person, so this career path will fit in well with your personality. Before you sign up for online FNP programs, you may want to look for a few signs that could tell you that becoming a nurse is not a good idea for you. If you do not see them, this could be the ideal career, but these are things that you want to consider before spending any money on a degree.

You Only Want to Work Normal Hours
Many nurses do not have the luxury of working in a 9-5 job. Especially at the beginning, you could find yourself working all through the night or going in at odd hours because you are on call. This is not like having a job in an office, where the work can wait until the next day if you do not get it done. People need help right whenever they need it, whether that is during normal working hours or after a car accident at three in the morning, and you need to be ready to go to them.

You Do Not Deal Well With Blood or Injuries
The main thing that you will do as a nurse is to deal with people who have been injured. How does this make you feel? Do you grow faint at the sight of blood or do you feel like you might pass out if you see someone else break their arm? If you do, being around these injuries all of the time might not be for you. Of course, you could also just tough it out and you will get used to it, but you have to decide if you can do that.

You May Want to Move Often
Any time that you move to a new state, you have to get certified as a nurse in that state. You cannot simply start working again. There are tests that you have to take. These cost money, and they slow down your job search. If you think you are going to be moving around the country rather often, being a nurse could get in the way of your plans.
