Dust is not a common problem inside our home. After a day of cleaning, it's somewhat normal for me to see little dusts again resurfacing the area that I just cleaned up. It was devastating, though. What Are Your Different Coughs Telling You?

Allergies, cold and the flu are some of many reasons that people develop types of coughing. Depending on the underlying cause, coughs may come and go without medical intervention. While many ignore the symptom, pulmonologists advise that coughing indicates a respiratory irregularity. Dry Coughs

While viral infections generally subside in time, allergies and other infections require medical treatment. Determining the underlying cause includes providing a health care provider with a history of symptoms in addition to revealing the colour of the sputum. Patients diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, which includes asthma, bronchitis or emphysema often suffer from this type of cough.

Barking Cough

 

As the name implies, when coughing, the sound resembles a loud, hoarse, bark. The condition occurs when the upper respiratory tract experiences irritation and swelling. Most commonly associated with the childhood illness known as croup, the symptom might also appear in conjunction with a cold, respiratory infection or after inhaling a foreign object. Relief often comes from inhaling moist, warm air. When the coughing accompanies airway restriction, medical intervention becomes vital. In severe cases, treatment includes steroids and epinephrine.

Whooping Cough

 

Also called Pertussis, this cough develops in lieu of the presence of a contagious bacteria. Individuals experience unrelenting coughing followed by a gasping sound that resembles a whoop. Treatment may include a specified course of antibiotics, cough suppressants or inhaler therapy. Vaccination during infancy and childhood prevents development of the disease.

May Flowers as they Bloom

Last Friday, my kids and I went outside to enjoy the beautiful weather of spring. I also took some pictures of how beautiful the trees and plants has become. Some of the plants that were in our neighborhood were the Redbud and Magnolia. Some of our neighbors has tulips too and some roses. I was busy watching my kids while being outside but I couldn't help the graceful beautiful of these trees. The Red burn reddish-purple leaves were captivating. The color is very beautiful to the naked eye. I also find some magnolia, saucer-shaped flowers, that were also changing its colors. The blossoms are pinkish-purple outside, white inside, very pretty.

 I'm always excited when its spring time because some plants started to bud and burst into an exceptional beauty. I was so amazed. Therefore, I couldn't help it not to take some couple pictures of these trees. These changing colors won't last long as May is soon to be over. I'm glad I captured some of these pictures for keeps.

My kids had so much fun too being outside. They had been waiting for it and me too to be able to play outside and enjoy a warm weather has to offer.

Take Good Care of your Business Effectively

As an online shopper, one of the things I hate about online shopping is when the online store takes forever to send the products I ordered. I don't know why but the website, for some reason, takes about two week to process my order and fulfill it for shipment without even any email letting me know that the products I ordered was in back-order. It's not normal though because some online stores these days approximately fulfilled the order for a matter of within a week the order has been placed. Then, when I followed up my order, that's where they told me that it was now being processed.

 It was indeed a disappointment. As a customer, I always expect to get the products I ordered, sooner as much as possible. I truly really care about what are the causes based on warehouse problem and such, but if the product were out of stock or due to lots of orders, you would expect this things to occur and so it is important to let the customers know to a feasible extent about when their order fulfillment to be met. Therefore, it is important to keep tracking down and as much as possible, let the customer know what was going on. Communication is indeed an effective marketing strategy that needs to be valued.

Since that stressful experience, I didn't make any online purchase at the store I had bad experience with again, though I believe of giving second chances, but we're talking about great customer service here and that has been ignored too. I'm not looking for a reason to be stressed out again. No way!

Although, I have bad experience with online stores, but I wouldn't deny the fact that I still love shopping online. The positive ones are good things that somehow outnumbers the negative ones because I still believe that some online stores has their own mission and that mission is to give their customers a high quality service to take good care of your business effectively.

Need a Motivation to Clean

Two nights ago, I was so thankful when my husband decided to cleaned our master bathroom. He must be so tired looking at its mess and it stinks too. We don't know why it stinks, but we thought it might be whenever my son used the bathroom toilet, he would probably spill something on the floor that somehow causes the bathroom to smell. But I'm not sure if it's the reason but I could also blame the garbage that was in there where dirty diapers mostly disposed at.

Anyway, I really wanted to do the job but I'm always discourage every time I started cleaning because of our bathroom tiles. Although, I cleaned the floor already, still it looks like it has never been cleaned. The toilet's captive knobs were also in rusts which somehow makes it impossible to stay clean. I wish we can do something about it. I wish we have the money to totally renovate the whole bathroom and replaced the tile floor.

Well, now all I really need was a stimulation to keep cleaning, despite the fact that it's indeed made me unenthusiastic to clean up. I need a motivation when it comes to cleaning, though. I'm so perfectionist every time I cleaned and I hated seeing spots. But if there's a stain in the bathroom already, I wish I could just take it off and totally replace it. And I know it's not that easy. Oh well...

Carpet Cleaning and Maintenance is a Must!

During this spring break, my family never had any plans in mind for a family getaway, rather, we were looking forward for some home makeover. We thought of re-painting our wall and re-do some of the house used to be. Now I was planning of vacuuming upstairs room, but never did yet. I was having hard times dealing with my time management which somehow procrastination also been killing me softly.

So, I rather have to be attentive with my plans now. If only I could able to hire a carpet cleaners after I vacuumed that would be a great idea too. I was telling my husband that we badly need a carpet cleaning because our house has been cleaned irregularly. I heard carpet should be prioritize on cleaning just to avoid any unwanted molds and dusts build up in it that may cause poor health and asthma attacks. That scared me, I know I really need to vacuum very soon, but if not, hopefully, we can contact a professional carpet cleaning service because they're expert to do all the work for you and they vacuumed too. Maybe, my dream of having a clean carpet and home would be a dream come true this time.

But of course, I need to make a budget for it. But if I care about our health and the quality of air inside our home, I would probably pay whatever it costs because what matters most is for my family to have a comfortable, healthy and happy home. Well, I'm all decided now. I'm going to contact a carpet cleaners and maybe a window cleaners too since spring is finally here! And after all has been clean, I would definitely maintain to clean the carpet myself since then.

Secret of Music-Making

Listening to music is one of my fondness moments when I'm alone and nothing to do. Mostly, I like to listened to mellow music and even love songs because they're very comforting and just makes me feel better. However, I thought of how could these music writers composed a song and put a perfect rhythm to it. Sometimes, I don't really care about the lyrics most of the time I listened to love songs, but mostly, I listened to it because of the harmony that these composers and music makers put together that somehow makes it, a great love song. I bet when they were composing and make up a melody for it, they probably using a novation launchpad where they could mix track songs from other artists and somehow make their own set of new music. How brilliant was that is!

 Sometimes, I noticed new songs of today that reminds me of a song played a few years back. There are some consonance in the song that was actually from other song which is something that really interests me, like the song sung by Jennifer Lopez entitled "On the Floor" where you can modulate the song The Lambada by Kaoma in it, but of course, J.LO's songs is more modernized now. A Sweet Desert: Bibingkang Malagkit (Sweet Sticky Rice)

Last weekend, I decided to make some snacks for the first time. By watching a video online, it enabled me to cook effectively. I'm not really a good cook, but somehow I was able to do it. Thanks to the bloodline that I got from my mother whom were born naturally to be a good cook. My mother is very good cook and every time she cooked something, it's always delicious.

Anyway, since I'm too far away from my mom and I couldn't taste her cook. I decided to do it myself by watching a video online. I was skeptical at first but somehow by following the instructions thoroughly, I made it. It was the famous "kakanin" (snacks) in the Philippines, they called Bibingkang Malagkit ( or Filipino Glutinous or Sweet Rice) or in our language we called it "Biko". The cooking instructions is very easy.

According to the video: All you need to have in order to make it good are the following:

FOR THE BIKO:
2 cups malagkit (glutinous rice or sweet sticky rice)
2 1/2 cups kakang gata or thick coconut milk
1 1/2 cups water 1 cup brown sugar

FOR THE TOPPING:
 1 1/2 CUPS THICK COCONUT MILK
1 CUP BROWN SUGAR

The video is very helpful. I was so glad I was able to make the perfect biko that I've been craving for years and years of being here in the US. It was a typical biko that I really wanted. So thankful for sharing a video like this.

However, I think she's lacking to share of what type of sticky rice you have to use in order to get the it fully cooked because the second time I cooked biko, the sticky rice is never even done. I used the thailand made sticky rice though, so I think it's something made from the Philippines sweet rice. I have to boil the rice first prior to adding it to the mixture.

Divorce is a term when a marriage has been in dissolution which a legal process needed to be done in order for two persons to restore their single status. Last weekend, my husband and I are finally done putting mulch into our front yard. I felt so relieved because finally the dead plants and bushes are gone now and the garden looks much better than it was before. Front Yard Makeover

Last weekend, we finally did the makeover on our front yard garden. I've been waiting and waiting for seemed like years to do it. Since we moved into my father in law's house and rented it for almost four years now, I haven't had a chance to do something on this little garden. My husband did some front yard work last year but we never really make any new changes. I said new changes because the garden used to have plants in it.

 Last week, we decided to just pull out these plants and planted new ones. And we also decided to put mulch in it, the mulch is dark brown which perfect to match our house brick wall. Also, mulch is important to make the soil more protected in order to enable the plants to survive the hot sunshine. I also decided to put mulch because it looks better than soil. It's more neat and make the garden more appealing.

We also decided to take out the Ivy plant that my father in law used to have. It's been growing like crazy. And some of them were dead too. So, we decided to just take it out. I also got some new plants and planted it right in. I'm glad our front yard is looking good now. And my our landlord loved it too!

Pursuing a Degree is Manageable Now with Distance Learning

Education is the most important factor of our future. Without education, it might be difficult for one's to keep a job or find one. Although, some jobs required at least a high school diploma, but still we can't deny the fact that if you have the highest education possible, then there's a possibility of a secured and thriving future. For this reason, a lot of people chooses to continue what they have started despite their busy schedules of work and family. No wonder why, my husband were eager to continue going to school to pursue a master degree because this is the only way for him to give us a better future and good education for our kids.

And that made me to think about pursuing a degree. I thought of information technology. However, I was in doubt though because of work I have at home and kids. I don't know if I could able to continue until I found out about distance learning program. Distance learning program, a program where education is flexible. I can earn a degree right at home or maybe during my off work hours. I was excited about Distance Learning because this is definitely what I was looking for. Plus the convenience of learning through the use of computers, tablets, and phones are indeed makes distance learning a new way to earn a degree anytime, anywhere.

Now, I was determined to learn more about distance learning IT degree which I've been thinking for a while to take because I noticed that by working online, I also wanted to learn more about technology and its progressive venture. I wanted to explore my knowledge and to learn more about it as well.

 The next time my husband would ask me if I when I was going back to school, I knew my answer now. And with Distance Learning, I know that despite of my busy working schedules and meeting family's needs, I know I can do it all because Distance Learning made it so manageable for me.
